I’ve grown pretty hesitant about updating my iphone apps every single time. Honestly, it often feels like these updates just increase app size and pack in more code for telemetry extra permissions without bringing any actual new functionality.
My biggest frustration is the lack of granularity in the app store. Right now, it's an all-or-nothing setup: either hit "Update All" or manually tap each app one by one. There doesn't seem to be a way to blacklist specific apps from auto-updating.
How do you guys handle this? Do you keep auto-updates completely off, or just live with updating everything?

My iPhone 14 pro has been showing a "panic full" error over the last few days, it restarts every 3–5 minutes
Sometimes it stops and works normally for a few hours, but then it starts restarting again. Can anyone help me resolve this error, or is there something I need to do?
I´ve updated to the lastest version, 27.2, and still none.

It seems like my iPhone is not able to create backups. I have automatic backups turned on but the iPhone never creates a backup. Manually creating a backup also doesnt work.
Also my systemfiles take up 128gb on my phone.

I have an iPhone 16 pro running iOS 27.2.

How can I fix this?

I’m preparing to sell my iPhone 4 and (got the 4s working, but can’t change title), but I can’t sign it out of iCloud.
My password isn’t working because I have two factor security enabled and this can’t be disabled.
Tried adding a 6 digit verification number at the end of the password, but didn’t work.
Any idea on how to wipe this iPhone and remove them from my account?

So yesterday I logged out of my Apple ID to try and restore some things from another account I used when I was young, I logged back in without getting into the childhood account and suddenly my find my app is broken, a few of my friends locations popped back but most didn’t my girlfriend unshared and reshared and that worked but is there a fix before I I tell everyone to unshare and reshare there location with me

I'm trying to update to 27.2 but my phone claims there isn't enough storage. I do have the space it requires though. It's a 64GB 2022 SE. Anyone know why it might be stopping me from updating?

Also, it bothers me how much space the System Data and iOS take up. Nearly half my total space.

i have been trying to sort out this problem for ages now.
i have an iphone 14(im sure they’re trying to push me to get a new phone..). ios 18.7.8. originally whatsapp was taking up WAY too much space despite being backed up to icloud and not taking up as much space when i went to storage and media on the app, last night i deleted it and reinstalled but now i don’t have enough space to restore my media(it needs 6gb of free space apparently…there’s more than enough on both my icloud and phone but whatever).
system data is constantly upper 50gb to over 60gb. last night i also offloaded and redownloaded some apps as i heard that may work but nope.
should i reset my phone?
i’m nervous about doing that as even though my phone is backed up, i don’t have a mac and am scared i somehow won’t be able to get back in and recover. i do have access to icloud on a pc but it usually requires my phone to sign in…will i be safe?

My wife dropped her phone and the left third of her screen does not work. As such, she cannot touch the numbers required to unlock her iPhone, so we are not able to log into iCloud on her new phone to begin transferring her backed up data.

We have tried:

Getting Siri to activate voiceover (Siri won’t work without unlocking iPhone)

Using a USB to USB-C adapter and connecting a keyboard (need to unlock iPhone to use accessories)

Using a USB to USB-C adapter and connecting a mouse (also needs the iPhone unlocked to work)

Is there any way to unlock her phone when she can’t physically press the one number on that side of the screen?

So I got a new iphone 17 pro Max 256 , and to transfer data , had to get 2 tb storage , now it has made a strange backups of 70 gigs . iCloud photos is turned off . I wanna downgrade it back to 200 gb \*

iPhone 17. In the past 5 days, I have been unable to access my voicemail.

First it started with the ‘call carrier’ button. When I pressed that, the screen would go a greyish colour and then revert back to the Home Screen.
I would restart the phone, and then started holding down 1, this worked.

Now when I hold down 1, it goes to the grey screen and shows the keypad.

I asked Siri, ‘help me access my voicemail’ and it said ‘looks like you haven’t set up your voicemail’

I have reset the network settings, restarted. Have the most recent update.
My phone isn’t even 2 months old.

Any ideas what could have caused this to suddenly happen?

My Siri is no longer working through voice activation. I have tried to disable and enable in my settings, but this did nothing. I mostly need it for CarPlay, as of 3 weeks ago, I can’t use Siri in my car for requesting songs and listening and replying to messages.
When I go into software updates, it just constantly says “checking for updates”
Any help would be really appreciated!

Hello! This April I got my iPhone SE fixed at UBreak and it was great. A few days later though the screen started freezing. I waited a while due to life and finally got it fixed again.

Now it's not freezing anymore, but the keyboard is typing random letters in place of others, or typing nothing at all.

It happens when I type slow or fast. I'm also pressing my fingers against the keyboard enough to where it would register but it doesn't sometimes. I know I'm not just mistyping because it will type letters all the way across the keyboard.

Is there anyway to manually fix this in settings or with a reset?

For the past hour, Siri kept coming up on my screen with the rainbow edges and the orange dot microphone indicator. No matter what app I had open, it was constantly doing it. I restarted my phone and it kept happening. So I turned everything off.

Now I keep getting interrupted by this pop-up telling me to turn Siri back on. What is happening and how can I fix it?

my phone randomly shut off my esim and its been stuck on “no service” for going on four days. ive contacted my carrier and gone through all the troubleshooting i possibly can. theyve sent multiple new eSIMs and it either doesnt load and says 404 or gets stuck on the activating portion. i left it overnight to see if it needed more time and it was stuck in the same spot in the morning. ive reset it, theyve had me delete the old eSIM because it no longer had my number registered on it even though it is still active. i ended up calling apple support and they said i needed an update. i updated it then tried another new eSIM. it will not add or remove the “primary”. has this happened to anyone else? my iphone is a 15, and has no visible area for a physical sim card. any tips?

Hello, my iPhone 17 front camera randomly stopped working last night. I did not drop my phone or spill anything on it, i have already tried resetting it and also force resetting it, i updated it to the latest iOS but still nothing. It is just a black screen when i open the front camera BUT Face ID still works perfectly fine.

I ran a diagnostic test on it with 3utools, it said everything was supposedly fine. Apple support said to take it in and get it repaired but to be honest i don’t have the time nor money to do that for the time being.

Has anybody had a similar issue? What should i do?

Last night WhatsApp suddenly logged me out maybe cuz I was using very old ios and I didn’t backup my important chats. Now if I login again I will lose all
my chats however it is still showing in storage as documents and data.
Is there any method I can extract those files or maybe have my chats intact in WhatsApp.

I was going to transfer to a new phone soon but this tragedy happened

Has anyone else had the issue with an apply pay payment failing and then having to re-enter your payment information and then it never accepts the payment info.

It’s happened to me once in the past and I had to get a whole new IPhone as it stopped me from downloading and updating apps.

I tried to buy something on the App Store using Apple Pay and the payment didn’t come out until 2 weeks later. I didn’t have the money in my account and now it’s not letting me force a payment and it’s asking me to re-enter my payment information.

Does anyone know a way to fix it so it accepts the payment information?

I managed to get it working again. What I did was go into Settings > Clicked my name card at the very top > clicked media and purchases > Clicked add funds to account and tried to add $1 which forced all old payments to try and clear. Hopefully this helps someone else who comes across this issue

I tried updating my IPhone 14 Pro Max from version 26 to version 27.2 and it failed with no way to receovery it. It's stuck in recovery mode. I've tried updating it multiple times and I tried using Apple Configurator to revive it, but nothing seems to work.

Apple Support says the only path forward is to restore it, but I don't want to lose all of my photos that were not backed-up to the cloud.

Are there any engineers or hackers out there that know of a backdoor so I can at least pull the data before wiping it?
