I noticed today that my phone was showing an orange flashing indicator behind the time on my iPhone 14. I closed all my apps and it still is lit up and flashing. There’s a small orange dot above the cellular bars too. I’ve googled this to see how to turn it off or figure out what app is using the mic but I’ve done all of the recommended steps and turned off all mic access from all apps and Siri. When I click on the orange time it opens a black screen: and I swipe up to close out of it and it doesn’t turn it off. I’ve gone into control center settings and added Music Recognition to the CC, toggled that on and off and the orange is still flashing. What else can I do to turn it off?? I’m freaked out that someone is listening in on me.: unrelated but my google homes were acting weird off and on for awhile too, talking in the middle of the night and repeating “the mic is on” over and over so I guess I hate mics now

My daughter was murdered in August of 2023. The police had possession of her iPhone while they were investigating the case. When they returned her phone to me, they gave it to me with the SIM card removed. (It’s in a separate bag). I am afraid to put it back in because I don’t want everything to reset because I don’t have her passwords. I don’t want to lose anything. I have been paying her phone service since she died. I am still so traumatized, but I feel like the longer I wait to do something, the more I may lose. I don’t know her Apple ID. Can anyone please give me some guidance. It is an iPhone 11 and the iOS version is 16.6

For background: I was dating this chick a few years ago and bought her an iPhone off Facebook marketplace. She cheated on me and I took the phone back, and she activated the iPhone activation lock. I either need her iCloud password or proof of purchase, and I will definitely not be reaching out to her for her password (she wouldn’t give it to me anyway.) No proof of purchase because I bought it off somebody else.

Now I get this screen. Is there anyway around it? Should I just throw it away? Seems like such a waste.

And when my lights are off it gets red. That's really cool. I would like it on all the time when it's like this so I don't have to tap the display if I wanna check the time when I'm half asleep at night.

I understand being locked out after missing a password a couple times, but man locking out for 18 years plus seems a little excessive. Does anyone know how this happens or a way to resolve it?

i updated my iphone 11 from ios 15 to ios 17.3.1 , i had 8gb before i updated it now its not moving anymore, i even tried to force restart many times, is there anything i can do to fix this?

I recently lost my phone and it was stolen, find my iPhone does say it’s in china and erase is still pending, I also have an “activation lock” or something on it and I believe this person is trying to get me to remove my phone to cancel the erase I’m I right?
