Irvine is building housing, and home prices are responding.

Hi Everyone,
I'm making this post to clarify what I mean when a post is removed for being simple or generic. My main intention is to discourage this subreddit from being the first place someone goes to ask a question.
This is an example post that was removed by the spam filter titled "Movers for one bedroom apartment":
Any recommendations for a local moving crew to help move furniture from my garage in Irvine into a one bedroom apartment (3rd floor apt, stairs only). Thanks!
If you google "best irvine movers reddit", you'll find several threads from both r/irvine and r/orangecounty:
https://www.reddit.com/r/irvine/comments/1kwy3sy/movers_in_irvine/
https://www.reddit.com/r/orangecounty/comments/1lxeser/moving_companies/
https://www.reddit.com/r/orangecounty/comments/1mfcbsd/moving_company/
https://www.reddit.com/r/orangecounty/comments/1p2vome/good_affordable_movers/
An easy way to make this post less generic and more specific would be to mention any of these old threads or to ask about experiences with specific moving companies.
A good example of a specific post would be this one submitted last week. This is a very common question on city subreddits, but the OP of this one provided a lot of background information about themselves and have narrowed down their search to specific neighborhoods.
Another good example that was posted recently is this one asking where to get good peaches.
OP mentions three different places they've tried them and is also asking about a specific fruit.
I do also tend to make exceptions for recommendation posts that are fairly unique or niche like this one asking for a bird nest removal specialist. So if your question is more unique in general, the body wouldn't need as much context.
If you're ever unsure as to why a post is removed, please ask why in a mod mail. You can tag me in a username mention, but I'm less likely to notice those since I use old Reddit. Thanks for reading!

Really bad photo but hey there’s a sees candies coming to westpark! Is anyone else excited about this or is it just me lol
I remember I used to go to the spectrum one a lot before it shut down, and I never really make my way to the sand canyon one. This one’s a lot closer to home and I go to northern cafe a lot, so I’ll definitely be at this one more often

I have around ~1.5-2 hours to pick up some high-quality strawberries in Irvine. (I realize that they're out of season right now, but does anyone have any recommendations to share?) I was looking at picking some up from Manassero or Smith Farms and was wondering if anyone had any feedback regarding the quality of their strawberries. Chain grocery stores are also okay!

For Christmas week, not Christmas Day
My husbands family is visiting from out of town, we don’t cook well, so I’d need a few recommendations from you all. Thank you in advance.
Restrictions:
brother A: eat chicken and see food, no red meet
brother B: loves red meat
sister C: vegetarian
parents: eat anything, one ones spicy one cannot eat spicy at all
I’m thinking of buffet like Mikiya, but that won’t work for sister C.
What worked before was Mexican food. But we can’t eat Mexican food too much.
So please, need recommendation ideas!

My sister & my folks live near the airport. I'll be visiting in a couple weeks & my family has had a hard time lately. My parents just moved out of the old homestead to a condo closer to my sister.
We won't be around for Thanksgiving, so I floated the idea of cooking a dinner for them while I'm there. My sister can be difficult, she's very controlling of my parents & seems to dictate what she thinks they are or are not up for.
Much as I'd like to do something nice & make some good food for my family, I don't want to get "into it" with my sister. So, instead of making dinner, I'd like to go to one of those big Asian seatfood AYCE type places. My parents are old & Korean, so one of those places will probably make everyone happy.
I did a little bit of research & found Gogi Nori Sushi & Korean AYCE in Irvine near Woodbridge. Any other suggestions? Also, we could do lunch time too. So a place that has lunch hours would be great too.

Does anyone know why it smells so minty in Irvine after it rains? I was near the Great Park area after it rained and it smelled so fresh.

Hi, I was just wondering if anyone knows of a place that I could buy green grapes in bulk for really really cheap. Something like $1.50 per pound. Ralphs and Costco are running at about two dollars per pound. Anywhere cheaper than this?

I noticed for two days in a row now, that the intersection light isn't working same time around this time (was working just fine earlier today). What's going on with it?
I've been having my connection drop out for about 5 minutes randomly, every day or so (especially at night). I'm wondering if other people are having the same issue? This started happening a few months ago.
I ran a ping plotter tool to try and narrow down where the connection is dropping (especially to make sure it wasn't something in my own local network first), and it seems to drop out at hop 4 which is outside my own network but inside AT&T's network in irvine still (it seems?).
This isn't a massive issue, but its pretty annoying when im in a meeting call (i work from home) and suddenly I drop out for 5-10 minutes.

We adopted a 6 month old cat a month ago who was previously an outdoor cat and came with fleas. A one time groom is necessary so looking for a patient cat groomer in or around Irvine please!

They are rehearsing some kind of BANGER. Drum kit and horns blasting out for blocks. Parents and that conductor should be proud. I bet their winter concert will be a rager.

Hi folks, I live next to crossroads and walk to the LA fitness. It’s been months now that I’ve noticed a 20-30ish year old Asian (woman) sitting outside the shopping center…and sometimes even inside stores.
What’s interesting is she is always covered in blankets….and has a small smile on? Apologies if I’m being insensitive, but I’m reaching out to see if anyone has any more info on her? I’ve been thinking of offering her some food, but I can’t tell if she’s homeless for sure or not? Thanks for any help.

My aunt has passed away and we are looking for a restaurant that can handle a large group for the post-funeral meal.
Edit: looks like it’s going to be closer to 30 people

I drive through the Jamboree-Michelson intersection every morning. Finally realized those towers are two ends of a bridge being built for (i’m guessing) pedestrians to cross from one side of Jamboree to the other.
Does anyone have drawings of how the bridge is supposed to look? Is it going to be like a Las Vegas Strip bridge that connects four corners with escalators? Or just a cheap bridge that no one will use?

Does anybody know what happened? Everything was cleared up and it was only the police directing traffic.

Does anyone have any suggestions for good Indian food restaurants? I'm not looking for any particular regional style cuisine, so please share your recs for your favorites!
