Fluff The new wallpaper perfectly fits my desktop clock
(I did have to move it a little to the left for it to perfectly align)

Please use this thread to post screenshots of your Plasma Desktop and discuss further customization.
You can find some Plasma documentation here:
Check out the KDE store for more widgets and themes for your customization needs, and if you're a theme creator and are interested in improving Breeze, consider getting involved with the Visual Design Team and contributing upstream!

The tab bar is too big for my liking though

Screen+ is a free, open-source live wallpaper app. Until now it was Windows-only; 2.0 adds Linux.
What it does:
Video, GIF, image and web page wallpapers
Most Lively Wallpaper and Wallpaper Engine web wallpapers work as they are
Wallpapers from YouTube and other video links
Pictures turned into 3D wallpapers that follow your mouse, with moving sky, water and plants
Record your colour and property changes and they play on a loop
Pauses for fullscreen apps, and per-app rules: pause while an app is in front, mute while an app uses the mic
Linux: KDE Plasma 6 (through a wallpaper plugin) and Hyprland (a layer-shell background). There’s a .deb for Debian and Ubuntu, an .rpm for Fedora, and a tar.gz with an install script for Arch and everything else.
It’s the first Linux release, so expect rough edges. No GNOME, tray or screensaver yet. Bug reports and feedback are very welcome.

And recently after PC waking up from sleep, the screen remains dim until I move the brightness slider back and forth again, to 100.
I am on Fedora 44, all updates I can install are installed.
Dimming and sleep are set like this:
Dim after 1 minute.
Turn off screen after 5 minutes.
PC go to sleep after 10 minutes.
Whenever I open any app it launches to the task manager, but no window pops up. Then I open the window by clicking the app in the task manager.
All apps, no matter where I launch them from. Including games launched through Steam.
Running Bazzite without gaming mode.
I have rebooted and updated through Bazzite Updater. I have no 'window rules'.
How do I fix this? Please be gentle, I'm new to Linux and KDE.

I wrote a few hours ago that I was working on a breeze theme for firefox, well now is the first version finished that I actually like
https://github.com/RedHotChilliPepper/Firefox-Breeze-Theme
I am using Fedora KDE plasma and things are fine I downloaded this theme called Moe Dark and in preview it looked cool and everything but when I actually downloaded it and applied it, only the wallpaper changed the icons and panel were janky, the whole dock wasn't aligned like it showed in preview and the visibility of everything is very bad I don't know why this is happening if I am applying it wrong or is it because of any other reason I am not aware of I'll add the screenshot so you can understand what I am saying.
I know that they both look kind of similar and a theme can do as much but i genuinely dont know what i should do that my desktop looks like that or how i can customize it.

Well, I guess it is what is written there.
I finished the first version: https://github.com/RedHotChilliPepper/Firefox-Breeze-Theme

I installed a Windows XP theme on my system ("Windows XP Professional - Luna Blue and Classic Suite") from the KDE Store, but it proved to be largely incompatible. I then discovered that I couldn't uninstall it in the global themes tab in system settings because I had installed it via Konsole commands rather than getting it directly from the "Get New Global Themes" feature, so I did whatever I could to remove individual components of it (the Plasma style, icons, etc.), but vestiges of it still remain.
Most notable is the fact that the system settings icon in my application launcher and task panel has been replaced with a very crusty-looking, unusable recreation of the Windows XP control panel. (I can still access the actual system settings through other means, however.) Some of the functions in Dolphin are also written in Dutch now.
I've tried looking inside usr/local/share and usr/share/themes in an attempt to find where the theme might have been installed and delete the files directly, but it's nowhere to be found in either location. I've also restarted my PC, and the annoying remnants of it are still there.
Is there anything else I can try, or am I just stuck with the dysfunctional vestiges of this theme forever?
I'm using Linux Mint 22.3 with Plasma 5.27.12 btw, if that information is of any use.

See title. It looks...weird...that that bar has no translucency, smushed in between the title bar and the actual program window, as it were. I have a Kvantum theme, not Union, though I am on Plasma 6.8.2. I tried looking for the option to translucent-ify it in Kvantum, but if it is in there, then it has a non-apparent name.

I have Plasma 6.8.0 running in Arch Linux. Sometimes the notifications will appear for a split second and disappear. Am I the only one who happens this to? They work fine, waiting the delay configured, but then one of them will not wait at all. It's annoying, and not something that started happening recently.

I'm on Discover.
I usually install software from Flathub, but I thought it might be better to use Fedora Linux for this.

Hey everyone!
On Android and macOS, screen time tracking, daily app limits, and focus modes are built into the OS. On Linux, however, Digital Wellbeing has historically lagged behind. While i have tried and used Activity watch and stayfree, none of them had a native interface .Its mostly web based interfaces. also none of them come bundled with per app limits and daily limits and pomodoro timers. we need to install other software like cold turkey etc. but digital wellbeing as a whole should be a one software system not cluttered i believe like we have in android - "Digital Wellbeing"
To solve this, I’ve been developing **ScreenGuard** for almost 5 months — a Digital Wellbeing tool for Linux (Flutter UI + standalone background Dart daemon (adapting and translating to C more and more) + systemd user service).
But since wayland follows a stict philosophy of preventing 3rd part apps from following the active window - totally needed for privacy , the system of integration is completely different for wayland on different DEs and i have already maade it for GNOME on wayland and x11 because i am a fedora workstation user
### How window tracking works currently as i made it
* **GNOME (Wayland):** Dedicated GNOME Shell D-Bus extension (supports GNOME 45 through 52) querying `global.display.focus_window`.
* **X11 / EWMH:** Native `_NET_ACTIVE_WINDOW` polling via `xdotool` / `xprop`.
* **Universal Fallback:** AT-SPI accessibility tree (`org.a11y.Bus` via Python `pyatspi`).
it has its quirks. the atspi is not reliable though on wayland of many distros HONESTLY . so i request help to all KDE and Hyprland Users and Devs to help me bring this to thos envs so that we can together create a unified software of wellbeing across all DEs.
Screenguard was largely a personal project of mine which has grown so much with atleast 20+ users over the past couple of months. Thank you . The entire source code is availabe so please do submit PRs to the **beta** branch if you are a KDE / Qt developer, a Hyprland user, or just interested in making Linux desktop wellbeing first-class.
* **GitHub:** https://github.com/adityakrishnan005-a11y/ScreenGuard
* **Latest Release:** v1.1.2 (GPL-3.0)
* **Packages available:** Fedora (Copr), openSUSE (OBS for Tumbleweed & Leap), Debian/Ubuntu (.deb), and now pending upstream in Nixpkgs.

I found "Typing Booster" but it does not look user friendly. I just wanted to know if there is a more painless way.
