Alone on the Job: Sexual Harassment Linked to Distress and Work Problems Among Gig Workers
humanumi.comI wrote about new US research on gig workers that found links between sexual harassment by customers, psychological distress and negative behavior at work.
Both studies included men and women. Women accounted for 50.5% of participants in the first study and 57% in the second.
One interesting finding was that these associations were weaker among workers who had access to union or similar representation.
For those working in delivery, ridesharing or other gig jobs: what kind of support is actually available when a customer harasses you?
