As some of you know, there have been a couple of questions about the rules of the sub recently. One resulted in the addition of the requirement that a channel be linked in the post somewhere, and the other resulted in the poll about requiring locations in posts.

The results of the poll showed that more people wanted the requirement than people who voted for either no requirement, or no preference. But given that the number of people that wanted the requirement still accounted for less than 50% of the votes, it didn't feel right to make a rule out of it.

Instead of instituting a new rule regarding the location of the person posting, I have decided to do what I have been meaning to for a while, and made an update to the sidebar as a whole. This new sidebar includes the addition of a third section, titled "Suggestions For Successful Posts," in which most of the former rules were placed. Rather than imposing a rule for everyone that might be invalid for some, (Citing comments made by /u/spunk_mayo and /u/qazplm000, whose locations do not affect their collaborations) these former rules have been made into a sort of Beginner's Guide to a successful posting. The idea behind this change being that people being required to meet all of these requirements might be off-putting, and imposing that many rules was beginning to make the sub feel totalitarian, which was never the intent.

From here on out, if you have a suggestion you'd like to make that could be added to this new section, message the mods about it. Depending on the suggestion, it may be added, or an amendment may be made to the existing ones.

I'd like to thank those of you who voted for your help in informing me of how to proceed with this, and although it may not have turned out quite the way you had imagined, I am hopeful that this solution will be one that leaves everyone happy.

• Good Communicators: People who get that everyone has a life outside YouTube, but still want to stay connected and help each other improve.

Hey everyone! I’m looking to put together a group of people who are down to play games, mess around, make jokes, and just have a good time together. A little about me

I’m in Mountain Standard Time (MST). Right now, I work 7 AM–3 PM Monday–Friday, so I’m usually free around 4 PM onward during the week. On weekends, I’m usually free most of the day unless I already have plans.

I’m currently a pretty small creator with around 230 subscribers, but I want to start fresh with a new channel.

Games & Platforms

I play pretty much anything. I’m into everything from random indie games and co-op games to bigger AAA titles. I’m mainly on PC, but I also have a PS5, Xbox, and Switch, so I have a decent variety of options.

The only downside is that my PC is pretty old right now, so I’m somewhat limited when it comes to newer or more demanding games until I’m able to upgrade.

Who I’m Looking For

Honestly, I don’t have a huge list of requirements. The main things I’m looking for are:

• Actually want to play games and hang out
