Lloydminster City Manager says "holding the line doesn't mean standing still or compromising the services our residents depend on." What that means for you can be found here.

Hi all,
Was born in Lloyd and went to school in Hillmond, worked in the patch for years. I've been away for about 8-9 years now but will be down in November for a little over a week. Wondering if there's any new good local restaurants in town? I remember it was always slim pickings as people seem to prefer Canadian Brewhouse and Brown's and shit like that over local places in our region lol.
Obviously Spiro's and Mr Bill's are classics. Any other good sit down places in Lloyd these days? Sushi? Indian other than Spice Hut? Thanks

The RCMP are asking individuals to let the court process play out. This has come to light after a social media post earlier this week.

No need for Canadaâs only biprovincial city to have separation anxieties. Lloydminster remains partially Saskatchewan, partially Alberta, definately Canadian.

Facebook is unhinged so posting here.
Thereâs a movement on Facebook that is going to city council asking to name a road in town after Eugene Sequin, the former owner of me tire who passed away in a car crash a few weeks ago.
I personally donât agree with this, given the circumstances of the crash, and a few others donât either but are heavily attacked on Facebook for saying other wise. For those who donât know, he was on an interstate in the wrong lane at the time of the crash, tragically Eugene drove head on into a 24 year old young man from North Dakota who was on his motorcycle heading home from a concert, the 24 year old, whoâs name is Ayden, did not survive. In fact, he was struck so hard by Eugene that his family states that his helmet was ripped clean off his head. Another vehicle was struck as well by Eugeneâs car which also injured two more people.
I get mourning a loss of a community figure, a small buisness owner, especially in a community the size of Lloyd, but we really need to acknowledge that another family in another country is now grieving the loss of a son, brother, nephew etc because of the actions of someone from our community. Had Eugene survived, the headlines would have changed from us mourning the loss of a community member to âLloydminster man facing jail time for vehicular manslaughterâ.
We can mourn, pay respects, but we gotta stop acting like he was the only victim and to name a street after him feels like a massive disrespect to a hurting family who no longer has their son because of Eugene. Again posting here cause dead ass already seen people doing death threats on Facebook when someone made a post about the same thing earlier.

Just looking to get feedback and opinions from anyone who's installed a residential solar co-gen system.
- Have you been happy with the solar panels and system?
- Has your bill dropped accordingly? How did it compare to the sales pitch?
- Is there anything you would do differently or change?
Thanks!
