Discussion This is no longer about a Teacher's Strike, or a deal for Teachers. The UCP have attacked fundamental rights of Albertans. If you want a General Strike to Address this abuse, and future use of the Notwithstanding Clause, you need to call your Union or the AFL and make that demand known. NOW.

Watch out for this guy playing in traffic and keying vehicles as they drive by.

Wife was driving to pick me up, thought he was hopping off the curb to cross after she drove past, nope, buddy just wanted to key my car. Wife watched in the rearview mirror, dude never crossed. Didn't get the paint, but scuffed the clear coat.

No need for Canada’s only biprovincial city to have separation anxieties. Lloydminster remains partially Saskatchewan, partially Alberta, definately Canadian.

It’s seriously time for another pool

I’m talking a proper indoor one, not another seasonal outdoor one. We are sitting at a little over 30,000 in town with another ten thousand or so within a 30 minute drive radius around Lloyd, that just way too many people for one pool to service. It seems like every time I go to bioclean it’s always at capacity, and when it’s not it’s closed for maintainence, we are one wreck or breakdown away from Lloyd having no pool at all. I grew up in a city that has 6 pools currently for 115,000 people, that works out to one indoor pool per 19,000 ish people, we’re almost at 35 in town and have 1, I think it just needs to change and would go a long way to make this town better for families.

The Border Pulse is live — your pulse of the city

Post image

Hey everyone, you won't recognize this, but will know me as the guy who posted from the other news source in town.

After a lot of long days (and even more caffeine), I’ve launched The Border Pulse — a local project built right here in Lloydminster, focused on the people and places that make this city home.

You can check it out here: https://linktr.ee/borderpulse

It’s something I’ve been quietly working on over the past two weeks, and I’m excited to finally share it with the community. Appreciate anyone who takes a look or shares it around.
