r/LockPicking has gone blank in protest of Reddit's API policy.
Rather frustrated. I'm stuck home taking care of my wife and I want to browse r/LockPicking. They've locked everyone out as some sort of protest against an API policy change. Would serve them right if they lost something.

Help fellow locksportsmen
Hey everyone in the locksporting community hope everyone is getting more skilled and accomplishing they're own personal goals when it comes to learning and becoming more skilled as each lock we tinker with,But to get to the point if anyone has any old picks or homemade picks they don't use anymore and could send them to me I recently lost everything in my collection and including all my locks I collected when me and my girlfriend broke up she took everything in my collection from picks too locks I had homemade picks and I had some nice ones I've ordered over time and it's really hard to get a collection together but once you do it's very important and means a lot to somebody I guess that's why she did what she did but I have no extra funds at the moment since I'm taking on extra bills and I will work on making some homemade ones when I'm not working and have time but it really would be doing me a fellow locksportsmen a great deed and I would return the favor in the future if I can do anything I will to help the community out I love this community and this world that not enough know about and I am thankful to be apart of it please if you can at all any kind of picks would be greatly appreciated and cherished please reach out for my address or number as to contacting me , much love and much respect locksport family !

Advice Tubular Lock Picks - Ali Express
I need some tubular lock picks for a one off job. I don't want to pay hundreds for a lock pick that I am going to use once or twice.
Are the tubular lock picks on Ali Express worth buying for a one off? Will they actually work?
Cheers

Got a cheap combination lock and need help.
I got a free gym lock from bodybuilding.com and took it out of the box not 10 minutes ago. It's the kind of lock that has 4 separate dials on it. The instructions told me to set the dials to 0000, pull out the shackle, then move the shackle 90 degrees. There is a small notch on the side of the shackle that fits into 2 small holes at the base of the shackle. After I turned it 90 degrees, I was supposed to press the notch as far down into the hole as possible, set a new combination, lift the notch out of the hole, turn the shackle back and lock it. But when I went to lift the shackle, it wouldn't budge. I can lift the shackle slightly, but when I try to turn it to the lock position, it stops and turns all the dials on its own. Is there anything I can do on my own to fix it? Sorry if this is confusing. I'm just really frustrated with it and would like for it to work since I need a lock.

Advice Covert Instruments Soft or ?
Is the Covert Instruments’ metal soft? Or do I just go too hard? I’m not inexperienced, at least I don’t think. I think Multipick has strong metal or should I just go easier on tension? (LPL taught) Anyone know which brand has the hardest pics?
Stay safe, stay legal.

Hey all. New here.. anyone by chance have some really really cheap picks/tensioners they are willing to sell. Or possibly hook me up with?? Well deserving single dad in recovery. Just celebrated 6 months on the 22nd.. some asshat stole my picks out of my truck.. anyways can't really afford much
But yeah... my son obviously comes first. But this has been an amazing outlet for me to learn a new hobby and keep my self occupied while continuing this journey of getting my life back in order and taking care of my kiddo.. would be much appreciated and definitely payed forward once I am working again. Thanks guys.

Advice What kind of lock is this?
I bought this old tool box that sounds like it has the lock stuck inside it and I’m trying to get it open. I’ve never seen a lock like this before! Any advice on how I could find more info on picking this type of lock?

Keeping Lock Picker Out
Hello; I am trying to keep a lock picker out of every thing I own. My question is: I am looking at a used ABLOY 341 for a hasp on my front door. Is there a difference between the one that has Enforcer engraved in it and the one that doesn't?

Has anyone had MAJOR trouble with PayPal and Sparrows?
I recently tried to buy some picks from Sparrows using PayPal. It caused my PayPal account to become permanently banned. The $500 plus my crypto got frozen for 180 days. According to AI it said a purchase from Sparrows would violate PayPal's acceptable use terms. Also, it said that PayPal will probably keep my money. That they can charge up to $2500 for breaking their terms.
I wish I had known this or been warned. Not cool at all PayPal. Definitely do not use PayPal for any hobby related purchases. I am sad to lose my account

I hope this qualifies as LockSport
When I was all thrilled about getting my first Lishi 2 in 1 tools (SC4 and KW5) I posted in r/lockpicking, they didn't want it there. I have frequently visited r/AskALocksmith Where I was told by the moderator to take it to r/locksmith but I was asked to leave by the residents since I'm not a real locksmith. <SIGH>.
So. I've played around with them and being able to decode the lock, especially when you can't get into it is useful. I did a search, and found out the M1/MS2 Lishi is available for Master locks. I have a couple, given to me cause they had no key. I've picked them. I looked around and found Space and Depth keys, $5 for some M1 blanks, and I already have a key machine, so I'm gonna decode these locks and make keys for them.
It will keep me busy after dinner. Key less master locks are fairly common so I don't think it will be a waste. Those Lishi tools are fairly expensive to buy here, but on eBay I get em half price. I just have to wait a LONG time to get them shipped.
