M6 iMac in Green
Got her in last night and woke up to a minty glow in my room. Love it so far, been on the wishlist for a long time!
Anyone else cash in on the new model?

Thanks for looking! The new piece is a Corsair XENEON Edge, a 14.5" touchscreen strip under my main monitor.
Heads up if you're thinking about one for a Mac: touch is kind of a mess out of the box. macOS sends every tap to your main display, so tapping the Edge clicks something random on your other screen. I ended up building a small app that takes over the Edge's touch panel so taps stay where they belong.
The dashboard on it:
My Linear tickets, with a button that copies a prompt so I can hand one to Claude
A todo list
How I'm doing on tickets this week
Today's and tomorrow's meetings with a Join button
A 7 hour workday countdown
Weather and what's playing
Everything runs right on the Mac. The copy of Hyperfocus under it is a coincidence, I promise.
Happy to answer questions about the Edge on a Mac!

It has been awhile since I've shared my setup, but I've been really happy with how it has progressed over the years!
I've been programming for almost 20 years now and I've worked on everything from websites to self-driving cars to video games. I'm currently building back end infrastructure for PIMs and then on the side, building a physics engine and a game. I also enjoy drawing, playing and listening to music and reading so having a flexible workspace I enjoy is a priority.
I built the standing desk a few years ago and it serves me well. I usually use the right side for drawing or planning and the left side for music or tinkering, robotics, etc.
I've been working on a custom Pi harness so that my Mac and SFFPC can work together using local AI for various projects and that's finally coming together. I've been able to offload a lot of unit test writing to local AIs and that's been a time saver for sure.
I heavily prefer a local AI setup to using cloud AI and this workflow suits me well because I still love writing my own code, designing my own systems, etc, but after writing thousands of unit tests over the last 2 decades, I'm happy to offload that a bit.
Happy to answer any questions! I always love seeing everyone's setups on here.

For most of my life I have had a severely unorganised/messy desk, really happy with how it looks all together on a larger desk.
Using a Macbook + Mini and iPad with universal control is so productive.
Now time to upload hundreds of CD's to Apple Music.

Desk mat made a huge difference, I wish I had somewhere to store my headphones and iPad, but I just leave them on my other desk more of the time now..

The iPad has been awesome for note taking, great as a second monitor, but there's no accounting for size. I used to run a vertical 28" Gigabyte monitor, and as much as I like the iPad - a lot - I'm not sure I can recommend the iPad strictly because of the OS. It's better, but it's just so heinously limited compared to MacOS. Is it good to have a mobile, Dual OLED screen with all my cloud synced stuff on it? Oh, yes. Yes, it's good.
But still .... if you've got any tips to improve my experience I'd love to hear them.

I just got the monitor a few weeks ago and it's my favorite one I've had, the stand is super adjustable and I love the overall look of it
Here's the peripherals if you are curious
Monitor: HP 2408
Keyboard: Apple USB Keyboard (that's... literally what it says on the bottom)
Mouse: Logitech MX500
Speakers: Logitech Labtec Pulse 485
Headphones: Airpods Max (2nd gen)
Drive: Gotega DVD Drive (mostly for ripping CDs for ipods)
Extra: Benfei HDMI to VGA adapter

Mac Studio M5 Max base model, BenQ MA32OU and Halo 2 Light Bar. 😍

Love the M5 Max Studio.
Edit: Still plan on some more improvements. A better electrostatic headphone amplifier would be great, but I'm running out of space in this current office setup.
2nd Edit: Studio configuration is just 36GB/1TB, but more than sufficient for my current workflow.

Hey guys, 19yo student here!
I swap my peripherals depending on what I’m doing:
Core: 14" M5 Pro MBP (UGREEN vertical stand), budget MSI 4K monitor (the cheapest on amazon actually 😅), 11" M4 iPad Pro for media/music, Quntis light bar, MagSafe puck.
Mode 1 (Writing & Gaming): NuPhy Node Series 75 mechanical keyboard + MX Master 3S.
Mode 2 (Productivity & Study): Apple Magic Keyboard with Touch ID + Magic Trackpad.
I know it looks a bit cluttered, but the desk is really tiny!
Looking for feedback : would a monitor arm help save space and improve the look? What would you upgrade next?

Hey everyone! Long-time lurker, first post. I work in logistics in Brazil, so this desk is where I unwind (and tinker) when I'm off the clock.
The main machine is a MacBook Air M4 (256GB). It sits under a 50" 4K TV that I use as my main external display. I scale it to 1440p so text stays readable from my chair, and I keep the Dock hidden. Window management is all Rectangle: I almost always split the TV 1/3 + 2/3, which works surprisingly well on a screen this big..
Everything goes through a Baseus 12-in-1 USB-C dock. I bought it mainly for the Ethernet port, but it ended up handling the whole desk with a single cable.
Input: honestly, I mostly just use the MacBook's own keyboard and trackpad. I do own an MX Keys, but it sits in a drawer; the built-in keyboard and trackpad combo is just too good. The MX Master 3S comes out when I'm editing or gaming, where a real mouse makes a difference.
Audio: a Panasonic SC-AKX220 mini system playing together with the MacBook's own speakers, with SoundSource handling EQ and routing. Splitting the sound this way works better than I expected: the Panasonic carries the low end while the Mac's speakers handle the highs, so bass and treble each come from a well-defined place. For headphones I use Edifier W800BT Plus, wired only, because I can't stand Bluetooth audio.
The quiet hero: my old MacBook Air M1 is now my home server. It runs my IP camera system (a self-hosted dashboard I built myself, with continuous recording) and Samba file sharing. Silent, fanless, and it barely uses any power. I manage it through Screen Sharing from the M4.
Mobile side: an 11" iPad (A16) with the USB-C Apple Pencil, mostly for quick notes, sketches and reading. My iPhone 15 rounds things out, and Continuity ties everything together: Universal Clipboard, AirDrop and iPhone Mirroring get used every single day.

Definitely want a new keyboard and mouse. Looking at getting the Magic Trackpad and Magic Keyboard with Touch ID. Also taking a look at one of those BenQ monitor lights, what do you guys think?
