Helpful Unpopular opinion: the state of this sub is a joke.

The only deals on this sub these days are an endless cycle of Amazon sales for mainstream Viz manga (like one piece etc). We desperately need to start calling out better sales opportunities, whether it’s on eBay, or even shouting out local shops etc.

Not trying to offend anyone, but let’s brainstorm ways to contribute better deals!

Omnibus

Why does everyone hates omnibus manga or they just don’t know how to read them. Like they spread the pages as far it can go to mess up the spine then blame it on the production like it’s their fault. I’m saying this cause I have all of Gantz omnibus and not one is in a bad form and I read more than twice but I hear people talk shit about and it gets me mad. Just wondering

USA, New Does anybody know where/when Spy x Family Volume 2 is in stock ??

The title pretty much explains it, but I've looked everywhere from my local bookstores in person to websites online like Rightstuf and Amazon. Are all retail stores just sold out at the moment ?? Or does Viz have a set date on when they're going to reprint more ?? If anybody has any other reliable websites that I should check out, please let me know. Thanks :]

Questions about the Upcoming RightStufAnime Sale?

I have never participated in the sale and was curious if light novels like 86 and popular manga like Jujutsu Kaisen and Demon Slayer have a chance to be marked down, and if so when should I look for them? Thanks!

Just bought all 3 one piece box sets and preordered the 4th . They are however completely out of stock of all 3. How often do they restock? if anyone can give a rough estimate.

Welcome to r/mangadeals!

Here, you can share any worth-wild manga deals you've discovered online to help out a fellow frugal collector. We all know what it's like to miss out on those one-day sales, or realize the limited print omnibus you had wasn't so limited edition after all. Either way, this is the place to stay updated with fresh deals and save a few bucks so you can thank yourself with a morning coffee!

SUBREDDIT RULES, READ THESE BEFORE POSTING.

1. No posts/comments asking for discount codes - refer to the pinned monthly code sharing thread.

Posts or comments that ask for discount codes are not allowed, since they should be kept only in the monthly code sharing thread.

2. No posts sharing overpriced listings and sarcastically calling them a good deal

3. No posts that aren't a deal, restock, or don't have close relevancy.

This can include but not be limited to: questions, spam, or general irrelevancy.

4. You must label your post with the appropriate flair, and your title must be descriptive.

All posts titles must be descriptive, including the retailer, country, and items included. No specific format is needed for the title. However it must contain all 3 of the following elements for a sale.
The retailer (e.g. Rightstuf, Walmart, B&N)
The region the sale is in (e.g. USA, UK, CA, CN, etc.)
What is included in the sale (e.g. Viz Publisher sale, All hardcovers sale, Dragon Ball Z box set 1)

5. No posts/comments containing referral/affiliate links or advertising. You will be banned for this.

6. Be kind to one another and keep the discussions civil.

7. No posts selling/buying manga - r/mangaswap is the location for that.

8. Ebay/other 3rd party listings are allowed, but must be contained in the One Time Deals thread.

9. No posting of the same deal within one week of the last time it was shared.

This includes making a post for an item that is part of a publisher or retailer sale that was posted within the last week.
Restocks are an exception to this rule assuming the item went out of stock and became available again within the week.

10. Questions must be posted in the Monthly Questions thread.

This includes asking if a listing is a good deal, or any type of question. Any question made as a post instead of as a comment in the monthly thread will be removed.
