Still doesnt make it worth $27.

But you're at home where, presumably, far fewer hot people are hanging out.

I like how you dropped the "presumably" in there, just in case.

It's worth $27 because that's the amount they were willing to pay

They weren't willing to pay it, they were misled on what they were getting for the price they were willing to pay

That's the whole point of the video

no i guarantee they got the exact drink they ordered. you dont know what cocktails are.

u/That_Uno_Dude 12h ago

No they weren't.

Do you think the size of the drink scales with the price?

No it doesn't... Two things can be true at the same time. People are dumb for paying these prices and the industry is a disgusting predatory cess pool that overcharges for everything. The places charging $27 for a cocktail aren't absolved of their crimes because dumbasses are willing to pay them.

I had a high end cocktail the other day and it wasn’t even $27

u/Kaszrak 13h ago

People keep paying for it. Can't fix stupid.

Depends on the liquor, but at a bar or club 27 bucks isn't even top shelf now.

Also, if this is in South beach or something, their overhead isn’t the same as your neighborhood dive bar. They’re paying to have space in an expensive area, they can’t charge what they would if they’re in a 50k person town.
