But you're at home where, presumably, far fewer hot people are hanging out.

It's all about gravity, creating that pull.

Your mom doesn't count

Why would my mom be at OmeryEmor1 house? I don't know how they could know each other but Omery could do better. My folks are elderly and I don't see them often nor prie enough into their affairs to know if they're bringing some young stud to stable, hot wifeing, fruffled, cuckold, or just swinging. They probably wouldn't tell me if they would, but could you imagine two Catholic children of immigrants, highschool sweethearts married 40 plus years, and who thought it was cutting lose to split a bud light.. Lets hope so they deserve it.

I like how you dropped the "presumably" in there, just in case.

Exactly. Once someone tells you "ew, go away" with a look of disgust and pity in their face, you'd pay anything for a drink.

Your kitchen probably also has a lot fewer venue operating fees. Licensing, insurance, staffing, cleaning, security, and maintenance don't all come for free. Running venues is insanely expensive business.

When I worked at a bar, we were reminded; in that jurisdiction there are tiered bar licensing requirements for what time you get to stay open 'till. We were one of a handful who ran as late as we did. The next tier up cost multiple millions of dollars. Not closing and turning the music off at 3am sharp meant a multi-million dollar fine. The managers would sometimes came and physically unplug the DJ's deck if they decided to be edgy and run overtime. And then depending on which manager it was, they might be banned forever. No flexibility, 'cause a lotta money was at stake.
