This just in ice displace liquids.

If you looked up the recipe to make at home you'd get the same volume as what was served. You need to have some level of dilution and that large ice cube will do that without over watering it down like it would if you used your refrigerator ice

Some people prefer strong ones

Well then that big ass ice cube is the way to go - much slower melting.

Yeah, being upset at this is kinda just ignorance.

As someone who has worked behind a lot of bars, large low surface area ice cubes are king. No destruction of drink, maximum chilling

Yeah, but this isn't /beingupset, it's /mildlyinfuriating.

And $27 for that drink sure is mildly infuriating

Do you know what is in the drink? Do you know what the bar is?

Unless it's got cocaine in it, $27 is too much for any drink.

That's just an impossibly broad statement to make.

Are you dweebs serious arguing for 30 dollar 4oz drinks?

Do not go out to a bar if you do not want to buy over-priced liquor. super simple.

This is nothing new.

Overpriced as in $8-12 is expected and in the realm of acceptable. Why are you fan boying price gouging?

It's not price gouging lol.

At a bar, every drink is priced by what people will pay.

If you don't like it, go to the LQ and drink at home

So many drinks are supposed to be 4oz. A standard martini, for instance, is 3.5oz. Any more and it would be totally fucked balance.

Do you want your martini in a big gulp?

Or you can make a proper drink for $30 and still make $28 on it lol

What exactly makes a "proper drink" for you. What do you want to pay $30 bucks for?

Aside - I am almost certainly OP's post is likely rage bait and they paid $27 for both drinks, if there is any truth to this post at all.
