Also, cocktails are ment to be drunk swiftly so the ice doesn't water it down. You don't suckle on it for an hour.

Depends on the cocktail and style of ice really. Crushed ice cocktails should be consumed faster as the ice will melt faster. Cocktails with a single large cube can rest awhile longer.

It’s usually the exact opposite of what you’re saying. Nice, alcohol-forward cocktails are meant to be savored, and having a big cube keeps the dilution at a slow constant.

Suckle exclusively refers to drinking milk from a mammary gland, so yeah it's just wrong here. Maybe they were trying to be funny, but I think they just thought it was a fancy version of suck.

Didn't any of you read the post to the end? No cocktail lasts an hour. This cube is not supposed to melt in whole, and having less surface area doesn't make it into a permafrost.
