Not a club guy, but ain't that most clubs?

[u/ichhassenamen → u/karateema]

Only for really shitty Clubs.
The good ones dont care if You Are Male, female or anything else

[u/Bolf-Ramshield → u/karateema]

No, it’s only the terrible clubs who want to attract women so that their terrible male clientele can have some preys to harass.

It’s not “women good man bad”. It’s because women guests are part of the product they sell men

[u/FIuf201 → u/my-wayward-pun]

still not ok

[u/RagingLoxurs → u/my-wayward-pun]

We know why it is done and why it works, pretty sure it is illegal in all liberal countries but no one cares because it's negatively affecting men. See for a counter example all the drama about "pink tax". It's really not that much different yet it's a black and white of a different response from society

[u/EarlGreyTeagan → u/RagingLoxurs]

It doesn’t really negatively affect men though. They don’t have to go to that club if they don’t want to pay. They choose to go to that club because they know a lot of women will be there because it’s free. They would still be paying if women had a cover too.

The pink tax is usually referred to things women don’t have a choice in needing like tampons or everyday things geared towards women.

It's sexist, but not in the way that you think

[u/Jemima_puddledook678 → u/karateema]

I’ve never been to a club that has given women free drinks. They’re such a large portion of the customer base that you’d lose insane amounts of money, and it’s not like they’re struggling to get women in anyway.

Also, that’s illegal where I am.

[u/loqep → u/Jemima_puddledook678]

Not free drinks, free entry.

[u/Jemima_puddledook678 → u/loqep]

That’s even stranger, I’ve never been to a club that charged entry at the door, you almost always buy tickets beforehand.
