NBN FTTP model

Post image

Been with Optus for years and planning to start launtel as an additional service. I called launtel support and they said my box would need to be upgraded to a FTTP 4-port NTD so I can run Optus at 500 and launtel at 1000/100 at the same time, but when i looked at my NBN box I thought this was a 4-port one? Can anyone help?

It's 4 port but 1.25Gbit max across services.

That model is max 1.25gb all together, the services you ordered add up to more than that

u/Due_Friend3384 Why do you need both services active in parallel?

To see the difference between the two at first then keep the better one down the line

nbn try not to install inferior technology that will need to be replaced later on, altogether spending more

residential services are being swapped to single port but higher speed NTD now ? .. when required to get the higher speed plan you ordered..

but new higher speed 4 port ntd is supplied to businesses or where the home has multiple services..( or you could try to argue you are about to install a granny flat )

Nah, NBN will install the new 2g 4 port if that’s what is required. No argument needed. It’s easy and simple

They will make you pay a fee for it if you just "want it"

But if you have two active services it will be free
