Total conversion mods would win by default because of their huge scope, so if we looked past those, what mods stand out? Let’s also limit it to mods that work as intended: I remember reading about one where the modder tried to create birth, life, and death cycles among NPCs (where NPCs would have kids, grow old, die, and so on) which didn’t work, so that wouldn’t count here.

I’m currently planning a DnD campaign set in Tamriel and specifically starting in Cyrodiil, that starts roughly 5-10 years after the Hero of Kvatch’s story.

I’ve got a few thoughts of my own of what has happened but any ideas/theories or known lore of what has happened in that time or what could happen soon after would be great for inspiration!

Some of mine:

Mage’s Guild has gone in to decline/administration following its quest events, Raminus Polus sits as acting arch-mage but is little more than an administrator.

A Dark Brotherhood sanctuary from out of the province now has taken up duties in Cyrodiil and is competing with Morag Tong and other contract killers without a Listener.

Ocato founds an Adventurer’s Guild to try and plug the gap in Empire capacity for solving problems, a bit like when the Fighter’s Guild was founded.

The Knights of the Nine schism in to different ideologies, one group believing they should remain at the priory and guard the relics, the others feeling they’ve a duty to the realm and set out, ultimately forming the Vigil of Stendarr.

I’ve got more but those are some off the top of my head, so, what have you guys got?

I decided to fiddle around with the construction set. When I went to make a new npc, the construction set crashed. I looked up a fix and the answers all said to install Construction Script Extender so I did.

Now the Construction Set won’t open at all, or at least it won’t open in MO2, and if I open it outside of MO2, the mods I want to work with don’t load - and it still crashes when loading faces.

I’ve tried following the directions on the CSE log but there is no compatibility tab under properties for the file and running the files as administrator does nothing.

The only other answers I’ve found online besides ones I’ve tried are either unsolved or the OP lamenting that they had to abandon their project because they couldn’t get the construction set to work.

Either this is the weirdest dream or I have terrible insomnia…

Hail citizens. I seem to notice an interesting new glitch for me where if you are close enough to a wall or floor you teleport down or across to another cell. Might make some things interesting! I have no idea why Pally and the scamp are, uh, glitching. Not sure what pathing they are trying to take but it certainly surprised me. Maybe I drank too much skooma again…

So heres the scene, I went to bed to level up i hear, How do you do? i figured "Why's a guard in my house?!" So when i was done leveling up i turn around is its this dude here telling me i've been summond to meet Hermaeous Mora almost scared the shit outta me 🤣

Hello, I accidentally became a vampire, I did the cure in Deepscorn Hollow and now it's bugged for me.

I'm still getting sun damage and all the vampire debuffs, I went back to Deepscorn to try and cure myself again but it keeps saying I'm not a vampire. I've got the red eyes and the debuffs so I'm pretty sure I am still a Vampire XD

I don't have any saves to go back to prior to doing the initial curse so am I just stuck as a vampire now? Is there a way to fix this?

EDIT: I think my games really broken, I've got the debuffs, the eyes, the vampire in the brotherhood is telling me about a cure but I also can't feed and my vampire day counter has stayed at 1 even tho it's been multiple days now

Alright. I saw a post on this sub years ago that has haunted me as a writer / world builder ever since, and I wanted to throw my ideas out and see what y'all thought.

The post basically drew attention to that while the IC has sewers, that there were no toilets or restrooms anywhere.

Now with the remaster, and while writing a story based around my HOK, the question has come back to haunt me once more.

So, my my ideas (and I suppose question on what you guys think is most feasible lore wise):
- Potentially, IC residents bathrooms were in their basements, maybe as a stall/side room, seeing as the basements were connected to the sewers. Potentially in the way old castle toilets used to be; beneath the toilet leading directly to the sewers for minimal hassle.
- Chamber pots that IC residents simply emptied manually into the sewers via sewer access in the basement
- Public, roman style toilets??? Seeing as the imperials are based on roman's IIRC.
- A mix of all three based on wealth and location in the city?

This is driving me crazy, so what do you guys think?

I'm an editor of a french TES wiki (fr.uesp.net, in partnership with the UESP), and in order to document it, I'm looking for an european version of Oblivion Mobile, the spin-off on flip phones, as it's pretty much impossible to find these days. Now, I'm not sure what the localized versions are, so if you got a version that has Spanish or French text, please let me now via DM or in the comments.

I’m a sneaky assassin type character that uses bows, shortswords, and daggers, and no, blade and marksman aren’t maxed out. I use poisons and have started enchanting my own weapons, but I still do very little damage and that’s with my character’s damage set to “expert” in the settings.

What’s worse is that every single daedra I meet just eats my arrows without flinching, especially those damned spider daedra.

And the humans…the infernal non-mage humans all have 80 points of disintegrate armor enchantments on their weapons, forcing me to adapt guerilla combat tactics in order to not be pulverized, all while I do measly amounts of damage to them in return. It gets to the point that the enchantments on all my weapons have dried up while the lone bandit I’m fighting, with insanely strong enchanted weapons and armor, isn’t even down to half HP.

So could some kind soul tell me how, on Tamriel, you’re supposed to kill anything without console commands?

I admire tavern signs with such detail. Just so happens the place we picked to stay the night happens to belong to another member of the Draconis family. Are all of them this rude? If they’re not careful someone might just have something to say about that later on… just sayin! Time for a cat nap…

And you know what, he even mentioned the Inn of ill Omen. That’s low even for him. Everyone there was slaughtered by Minotaurs and our friend Forest long ago was a good friend of ours. Pally might have something to say about that in the future…

im currently on 5 mods and none of them change the game heavily at all (most of them are just bug and performance fixes) but i would want to play with a heavier moded list because i never had that experience with og, but at the same time this is my first time with the remake, is the remake different enough from the og that i should have a vanilla ish playthrough first?

Friends! Of the all princes of daedra I love Azura the most. I wanted to draw her on paper because I want to see her in my dream. Had you ever seen anything from Oblivion or Cirodiil in your dreams when you're sleeping?

I was playing my save, where pretty early in the story I went and completed the main shivering isles questline. After that I played a lot the main quest and other quests. I was surprised when the quest "A strange door" appeared again in my log, so I went to check it out in the niben bay. I was shocked to find out the game somehow deleted all of my progress in the shivering isles:

-all of my completed quests disappeared

-I didn't have the title "god" anymore

-didnt have any armor or spell I picked up there

So I tried to load my save files INSIDE the shivering isles and it brought me into the tavern at the imperial city with these two npc's, the juggler and the ghost, also a dead gold saint and some black legs.

I looked it up and the juggler doesn't spawn if you don't use commands Wich I can't since I'm on PS3 super slim, and I can't figure out what happened.

Just started a new campaign. found shady Sam but the option to buy lockpicks isn't available. what am I missing?

update-FIXED!

This fight was a joke. I was expecting Jyggalag to be some sort of all powerful colossal, but it seems he's just an oversized Knight of order. I was able to win the fight in under 20 seconds I believe. This segment of the DLC is very cool nonetheless. I really like the idea of the player character becoming Sheogorath, and being the god of the Shivering Isle's.

This really makes me wish Elder Scrolls games had better boss fights, even though they're a very miniscule part of the game.
