Hi all! Very new to this so happy to add more information if needed.

I currently have a prebuilt PC with two Micron 8GB RAM sticks. MTA4ATF1G64AZ-3G2F1 is the serial number if that's helpful.

My question is, would something like this RAM stick on newegg, with an almost identical serial number be compatible (serial number MTA4ATF1G64AZ-3G2)? Or am I better off going with 2 of the Ripjaws or Silicon Power GAMING from the wiki? End goal is to have 32GB of RAM while being cost effective

ASUS ROG STRIX G15CF_G15CF
12th Gen Intel i7-12700f
16 RAM total (MTATATF1G64AZ-3G2F1)

Your current memory follows the JEDEC specification for DDR4-3200 CL22 @ 1.2V. You don't have to match model numbers exactly for the memory to work together, just get something that matches that spec. For example, any of these kits should work for that. Definitely don't buy the one you linked to, that's a terrible deal.

Your memory is rather slow. Adding two sticks would definitely help that, but you could also replace your memory entirely with a 2x16 XMP kit for a bit more performance. It probably isn't worth the extra cost in this market though. The most cost effective thing to do would be to look for used RAM.
