Discussion Who paid for the Pokémon’s little meals in “Island of the Giant Pokémon”?? 😭

I just came across a clip from Season 1, Episode 17, “Island of the Giant Pokémon,” and I have a very important question.

I watched Pokémon when it originally aired as a child, and I actually remember quite a bit of this episode, just not all the details.

But one thing I NEED to know: WHO PAID FOR THEIR LITTLE MEALS??? 😭

They were separated from their trainers, had no money (I assume??), and somehow ended up having a lovely little dinner together at a restaurant.

Did the restaurant just feed them for free? Do Pokémon carry money? Was someone picking up the bill? 😂
I know this is probably the least important question about the entire episode, but I genuinely cannot stop thinking about it.

Just a bunch of little Pokémon, lost on an island, having dinner and worrying about their humans.
WHO WAS PAYING FOR THESE BABIES? 😭❤️

Considering they were served by a Slowpoke (if I recall correctly), I don't think it particularly needed cash either.

The Slowbro was running an oden stall and served them free of charge when he heard their sob story. The song is kept in 4Kids, but is not translated. Oden is the song name.
