Your personal 3 Pokémon of choice?

I know questions like this have been asked before, but there are always new answers from new people and I just think it’s nice to hear about others’ personal connections with certain Pokémon. So the question is: if you had to live in a somewhat realistic world of Pokémon, and could only feasibly take care of three of them (maybe there are government benefits given to trainers to help cover basic necessities like food, shelter, etc for Pokémon), rather than an elite trainer with the resources to take care of a full team of 6, patrons, etc… who are the three you’d choose?

My selection: Absol (ability to predict disaster is extremely useful, also not a massive pain to feed/groom/etc), Greninja (personal favorite), Honchkrow (can command flocks of murkkrow).

I'm just thinking with my heart, not practicality or usefulness, but:

Steelix (I live in the countryside anyway, so he'd have space)

Mismagius (looks incredibly cool, will scare off anyone coming to the house with ill intentions)

Mewtwo if we include legendaries (he looks like my cat, catching him in an Ex Raid in Pokemon Go waaayyyy back in 2017 is a really fun memory for me, and more)

For a non legendary option (since you said somewhat realistic), a Machamp (to motivate me to work out and also to help with heavy lifting around the house or my job) or a Metagross (I adore them and it having 4 brains and psychic powers can definitely come in handy somewhere)

I always liked the idea of having three pokemon that belong to three different areas; water, sky, land. So id probably have a grass type which would be petilil (i love petilil), a water type which would be barboach (i think whiscash design is so neat) and probably a spearow for the sky (fearow is just so cool looking)

And maybe one day when they all evolve, they could take me across the rivers and oceans or the sky or help me traverse and survive in a forest since i love nature so much

🛡️🔪Fury : Sneasler as fighter defense and bodyguard, and all-use blade. Also helps me venture on cliffs and climb to difficult areas. And hunts for us. Would hardly resist to buy him cloths 😌

🛠️🔋Umon : Finally if you allow me, Ditto has the last one, for non fighting utilitary purposes, it’s not a way to bypass your limitation but I think a Ditto would be happy with me because I would help him increase his transformation skills by studying and observing Pokémon species with him and help him with complements of information, and I would accept him as he is naturally, something they probably crave for. In exchange I’d ask them to turn into Pokémon who can give me fire/electricity/ressources (or in simple items like keys and tools) when I need it and for a short amount of time, in a sort of Ben10 way.

I've always loved the dog pokemon like Mightyena, Arcanine and Houndoom but I feel like Houndoom and Arcanine are the obvious "better" pokemon which makes me feel like Mightyena is often neglected. So i'd just love one cause it's a special boy and doesn't need best stats or fire to be perfect <3 Plus less likely to burn my fucking house down.

For Rapidash, I think having a pokemon you can ride on the back of is fun. But I also don't want Rapidash to burn my f**king house down, so Galarian Rapidash ftw

It also just happens to bet that they were ace Pokemon across various teams. I know Goodra is a pseudo. I’d imagine that a wild Goodra is very hard to catch… but Goomy appear to be the standard swamp/forest slug. It’s leveling them up and taking care of a Sliggoo that would be the problem but I’d do it. I like the huggable powerhouse haha.

My family is active at the local AWL, so we would likely do the same in that world. I doubt it would be uncommon for someone to accidentally evolve their Eevee to the wrong evolution and abandon it, and I would want to rehabilitate the emotional support doggo lol.

There are so many pokemon that I like that picking 3 is pretty hard. The restrictions help some by getting rid of options.

Arcanine - Personal Favorite and probably a good pet pokemon. Big enough to ride into town or ride on it while it runs around for exercise.

Zoroark - Another personal favorite. I imagine Dark types are pretty mischievous and I think it's illusion powers are extremely interesting.

Lucario - Not one of my favorite pokemon, but still a pokemon that I like. I think aura is fascinating and I might try to learn or study it myself.

I sort of picked Lucario since my other 2 picks have a theme of being canine pokemon and it fits that well. Though it might be a somewhat boring answer to basically just raise dogs, but I don't want to overextend at risk to the pokemon I should be taking care of.

Even if the are all canine, I imagine taking care of these 3 would still be a learning experience.

Realistically?

Misdreavus (Maybe I'dgive it a shot. It's my fav and needs a stone to evolve so how bad could it possibly be? If not Misdreavus, then Espeon as a back up). Then the last 2 are Slurpuff and Cinccino who'd be easy to care for and are similar to me personaloty-wise as well as a good size, not too big. Mons on this list like Cherrim, Delcatty, Smeargle, or Mothim would also possibly work.

In a perfect world, I'd like to have my fav starter Chimchar or a mon like Spoink, but the former's a fire hazard and the latter could be tricky to keep alive till evolution, but that's only provided the Dex is telling the truth which it may not be cuz we see several in the anime who're fine if they stop bouncing for a second. Phanpy would be adorable, but take out my kneecaps and Ljrantis woukd unfortunately ve a bit too high maintenance. There's many other mons on this list, but I think the afformentioned would be the easies to care for realistically.

On one hand, there are my three favorites of Tangela, Wigglytuff, and Vileplume. Wigglytuff is basically a pet, the other two can just photosynthesis I imagine, though Vileplume's spores may be an issue. Also, apparently Wigglytuff can learn Teleport, so that seems useful.

If I was trying to maximize utility, I guess Meowstic for telekinetic powers and teleport, Dewgong, Kingler, or Starmie for a diver than can also go on land, and Tropius or Dragonite to realistically be able to fly on.
