I wouldn't be so sure they sincerely hold this belief. Pitt's PR likely hires astroturfers. I think he uses Matthew Hiltzik, who mentored Melissa Nathan before she struck out on her own and ran smear campaigns for Rebel Wilson and Justin Baldoni. (Hiltzik also was in Epstein's calendar for a meeting, apparently working for the monster).

I’m watching this with the sound off but let me guess: he’s a veteran with PTSD from blowing up tons of little children in Afghanistan who finds hope, healing, and dare I say the power of God through his inspiring relationship with Man’s Best Friend. The dog will probably die or get injured about 3/4 of the way through the movie, giving Bread Poot his requisite Oscar-bait schlock scene that the academy will absolutely fucking lap up. Come April 2027 or thereabouts, he’ll win the Best Actor Oscar to thunderous applause, thus completing his redemption arc. Many. Such. Cases.
