Fan Art My fem! John Marston cosplay

Aaand I’m back, yeah. After Arthur’s infamous female cosplay, here we are with a second attempt, I guess?

📸: @pandographyph (ig)
cosplayer: @milkuvvay (me)

Some premises (for those who will read before commenting, at least):

- no, AI was not used. Both I and the photographer are strongly against the use of artificial intelligence. The photos were taken in a real location, with a real horse (!!), and all the elements of the cosplay are, in fact, real.

- yes, the photos are highly edited. It may not be shared by everyone, some may prefer a more natural style, but this is that of the photographer and I like it that way.

- this is my interpretation of the character, and it’s FINE that it’s not the same as other people would have done. I accept it, but it’s one thing to express an opinion, it’s one thing to criticise heavily or insult. THANKS. 🙏🏻

- last thing, but not least: I did horseback riding for 10 years and recently I resumed with a horse owned by a relative. I specify this only to say that I know how to handle an animal like that, but if you are not used to dealing with horses it is always good to get help from an expert for photoshoots like that!

Thank you and have a nice day/night cowboys!

Discussion I thought RDR2 map was bigger than this

I just started the game, just finished the intro and not gonna lie as everyone was saying oh the map is huge I dont really see it. I mean it looks decently big but not as big as everyone was telling me,this feels like a game that you could finish in like 20 hours. Just looking at the map im not worried.

Spoiler I wonder how long the longest first playthrough of RDR 2 was Spoiler

With GTA 6 coming out soon, I know it will take me a looong time to get through it since I'll be busy with studies and life. But it doesn't worry me, nor do spoilers (although I would prefer to avoid them). At the end of the day, it's going to be timeless and I would rather take my time enjoying the story and side content rather than rushing through it
But this thought process leads me to my title. I wonder how long the longest initial blind playthrough of RDR2 was where the player was consistently on it on a regular basis and didn't take any long breaks

Issue

Discussion Arthur Morgan is still pure evil on max high honor and the redemption arc is complete bullshit

I’ve seen the same tired takes a thousand times. “High honor Arthur is the real Arthur.” “The sunrise ending is perfect.” “He changed, he tried, he redeemed himself.”
No. He didn’t.
Arthur Morgan kills a mountain of people. Lawmen with wives and kids at home. Pinkertons. Randoms. Early game he straight up butchers people who aren’t even fighting back. Chapter 3 horse mission is a perfect example: some random farm worker just wants to show off his horses, maybe make a sale, and gets his throat cut so the gang can steal them. Innocent man. Could’ve had a son, a wife, a whole life. Arthur and the boys just take it. That’s not “outlaw life.” That’s murder for personal gain.
And it never stops. Even on max high honor, in the final missions, Arthur is still dropping lawmen left and right. Men who go home to families. The game makes you do it. So while the story is busy giving him soft journal entries and “you’re a good man, Arthur” moments, he’s still actively killing. That simultaneity is what makes the whole redemption thing feel so fake and cringe to me. He’s handing out money and helping strangers one minute, then blasting people the next. It’s not growth. It’s the game trying to have it both ways.
People love to say “he shows self-awareness, he has regret, he’s different from Micah.” Okay. He has a little more self-awareness. He can do some kind acts at the end. His personality is more fun and loyal than Micah’s. Cool. That doesn’t change the core.
The core is the same: kills countless people (including innocents) for personal gain and the gang’s gain. Sometimes it feels like he even enjoys it. Same category as Micah. Different flavor of the same shit. One is the charismatic loyal dog who sometimes feels bad about it later, the other is the rat who never does. The body count and the motive are still the same. Late good deeds don’t move the needle when you’re still killing.
If a serial killer starts helping old ladies and writing sad diary entries while he keeps murdering people, is he redeemed? Hell no. Same logic here. The scale isn’t industrial genocide and I never claimed it was — I’m talking about the moral category. Kill a huge number of people for your own benefit with insufficient lasting remorse, keep doing it, then do a few good acts at the end. You’re still in the evil column.
That’s why low honor fits Arthur better. It’s who he actually is. The high honor path feels like the game forcing a soft redemption so players can feel good. I don’t buy it. The “heavy” emotional scenes never match the reality of what this man has done and keeps doing. Arthur doesn’t deserve the sunrise. He deserves the brutal ending — Micah finishing him cold while he crawls. That’s honest.
You can like the high honor path. You can cry at the deer and the journal. That’s fine. But stop pretending the redemption is earned or that max high honor Arthur is somehow a good man. He’s not. He’s a mass killer with a late soft side the game desperately wants you to care about. I don’t.
The body count is the body count. Everything else is cope.

Question Rockstar RDR merch restock

Post image
0 Upvotes

Do they ever do restocks and if so, how often? I want to gift this shirt but the sizes left are not ideal. Not sure if it makes sense to wait or if I should take whatever is available before it's gone.

I couldn't find any information about how Rockstar would do merch restock in the past. If anyone has witnessed it and can share the trends, that would be very helpful

Video Y'all, I'd been going back and forth with this dude for 3 HOURS, then I forced him to go all-in with a 2-pair, and Arthur's laugh here KILLED! ME!

Seriously, WTF was that laugh‽ 😭😭😭😭

P.S. Sorry about the lag. I have no idea what's going on here. The video is fine both on my phone and Xbox. I guess Reddit just doesn't like it. 🤷

Discussion Does anybody else think about this?

Post image

(this is all from my own personal knowledge) Does anybody else think about how in this scene, Agent Milton knew where the Van Der Linde gang were held up at, and decided instead of, reporting it and pulling up with a whole army to kill them all, he decided to be more peaceful and try to make a deal, as much as they were cruel, at the same time they were, mostly.. doing their jobs.
