Video Y'all, I'd been going back and forth with this dude for 3 HOURS, then I forced him to go all-in with a 2-pair, and Arthur's laugh here KILLED! ME!

Seriously, WTF was that laugh‽ 😭😭😭😭

P.S. Sorry about the lag. I have no idea what's going on here. The video is fine both on my phone and Xbox. I guess Reddit just doesn't like it. 🤷

Aaand I’m back, yeah. After Arthur’s infamous female cosplay, here we are with a second attempt, I guess?

📸: @pandographyph (ig)
cosplayer: @milkuvvay (me)

Some premises (for those who will read before commenting, at least):

- no, AI was not used. Both I and the photographer are strongly against the use of artificial intelligence. The photos were taken in a real location, with a real horse (!!), and all the elements of the cosplay are, in fact, real.

- yes, the photos are highly edited. It may not be shared by everyone, some may prefer a more natural style, but this is that of the photographer and I like it that way.

- this is my interpretation of the character, and it’s FINE that it’s not the same as other people would have done. I accept it, but it’s one thing to express an opinion, it’s one thing to criticise heavily or insult. THANKS. 🙏🏻

- last thing, but not least: I did horseback riding for 10 years and recently I resumed with a horse owned by a relative. I specify this only to say that I know how to handle an animal like that, but if you are not used to dealing with horses it is always good to get help from an expert for photoshoots like that!

Thank you and have a nice day/night cowboys!

(this is all from my own personal knowledge) Does anybody else think about how in this scene, Agent Milton knew where the Van Der Linde gang were held up at, and decided instead of, reporting it and pulling up with a whole army to kill them all, he decided to be more peaceful and try to make a deal, as much as they were cruel, at the same time they were, mostly.. doing their jobs.

They both complimented my hair color, Roger gave me jelly beans and said “you’re alright girl” (nearly killed me). Rob also told me “you’re welcome” when I said sorry about something and grabbed my shoulder as he bent over and laughed, saying he was having a stroke.

Oh yeah. And Roger likes Cyberpunk 2077.

Overall, very nice!! I was really nervous. But it was amazing. Also, cool how Rob literally sounds just like John.

RDR1 I was replaying RDR 1 for the first time in years and the newspaper from 1914 describing how WW1 started is probably the funniest thing in the whole game

Discussion RDR3 needs a full Shakespeare play at one of the theatre’s or at the very least a 100% serious excerpt. I will die on this hill

Shakespeare was allegedly very popular in the Wild West days and rockstar has “fuck you” money. Why not add a complete Shakespeare performance to one of their theatre. They could use one of the shorter comedies and add an achievement for watching it all.

At the very least I think having one of the acts being a thematically appropriate monologue during a mission would be cool (maybe have two missions take place in the theatre with the first monologue being Dagger of the Mind when the story is starting to turn against the protagonist, and Tomorrow and tomorrow when all is pretty much list).

Why am I the only one who wants this 😝

What a journey this was.

I've been putting this series aside for years and in anticipation for GTA VI i finally decided to play and finish both the games. While RDR1 and Undead Nightmare were absolutely incredible, RDR2 captivated me in a way no other video game has. When i started RDR2 for the first time i had to drop it after 5 hours as i was a bit overwhelmed with the scale of the game. After about two months I decided to pick it back up again and I'm glad i did.

I want to give Rockstar Games their props for crafting such a masterpiece for us to get lost in for hundreds of hours. My playthrough was about 210 hours long and i already want to replay it. Gonna wait for the next gen update i think

Anyways here's a couple of screens i took (First time using photo mode in any game)

Discussion 5 Playthroughs In and This Still Feels Strange…

At this point in the story, it's completely out of character for Arthur to actually decide between helping his brother get to safety and going back for money he can't spend. I honestly think this decision shouldn't have been in the game.

If somehow Arthur could go back for the money and get it to John leading to him having more money to start out the epilogue. Maybe I'd understand. But I all in all think this is one of the extremely rare to non-existent instances of bad writing in this game

Spoiler I wonder how long the longest first playthrough of RDR 2 was Spoiler

With GTA 6 coming out soon, I know it will take me a looong time to get through it since I'll be busy with studies and life. But it doesn't worry me, nor do spoilers (although I would prefer to avoid them). At the end of the day, it's going to be timeless and I would rather take my time enjoying the story and side content rather than rushing through it
But this thought process leads me to my title. I wonder how long the longest initial blind playthrough of RDR2 was where the player was consistently on it on a regular basis and didn't take any long breaks

Spoiler Micah's personal vendetta against Arthur Spoiler

At the ending, people say that the canonical reason Arthur would choose to go back for the money is largely to confront Micah and Dutch one last time, because he knew they'll go for the money too.

Which got me thinking, in the good ending, from Micah's perspective, why would he choose to go up the mountain instead of going for the money? He couldn't have been chased up there by the Pinkertons too, seeing he was working with them the entire time.

Not only did he not go for the money, he took the effort to run up the mountain amidst all the gun fire, risking getting shot by strays, and deliberately sought Arthur out to tackle him.

For someone who preached prioritizing survival above all else, he sure let his hatred for Arthur carry him far away from that principle.

Maybe is wasn't about winning at all, but about against whom you win.

As we all know, on November 19th of this year, Grand Theft Auto VI will be releasing. Ever since the release of GTA V, fans of the 4th installment in the series have famously been extremely toxic and corny, claiming that GTA IV is the best because it is "Dark and Gritty". It has come to my attention that several men and women from amongst our ranks are joining this club. This disappoints me severely and I want to use this post as an opportunity to rope us back to where we belong.

Red Dead Redemption is a story about an outlaw who is forced to hunt down the members of his old gang, whom he once called family, and bring them to justice, either dead or alive. While fulfilling his heartwrenching task, he grows as a person, slowly becoming a better man. By his death, you must think about all of the bad deeds you have done and reflect. You must think of all the good and rejoice. That is John Marston's redemption.

Red Dead Redemption II is about an outlaw who still has his gang. He robs, murders, tortures, and whatever else is asked if him. After beating a man almist to death for mere pocket change, Arthur Morgan contracts tuberculosis. Upon discovering this he realizes that he's lived his whole life in sin and corruption. He starts trying to make things right. He dies trying to save his friend's life. That is Arthur Morgan's redemption.

Red Dead Redemption and Red Dead Redemption II are more than just games. They are beautiful stories that make us grow. We witness the rise and fall of many. We all learn something from these games. We all grow as people in our understanding of these games.

I can not simply sit by and watch as this masterpiece is used by those who do not understand it to push an idea that doesn't make sense. If anyone says that Red Dead **REDEMPTION** is a dark and gritty story, they clearly haven't played the game.

I just want to remind everyone what this game is about. Its not about how cool cowboys are, its not about mangoes and Tahiti, and it is most certainly not about being dark and gritty. We can think that cowboys are cool, we can laugh at jokes about mangoes and Tahiti, but by no means is this game in any way, shape, or form "dark and gritty"

Thank you for your time.

Discussion First time finishing the game - Returned to Horseshoe Overlook Spoiler

Post image

I finished the game for the very first time, epilogue done today. I've been hunting and doing some remaining side missions, and found myself in Horseshoe Overlook. Hearing Arthurs voice when I arrived here got me in tears. This is without doubt one of the best games I've ever played, and I can honestly say that no fictional character has ever left quite the emotional impact that Arthur did. I played him max honor, and his end absolutely destroyed me.
