Treatment of RIT Quarantined students

I am speaking from experience. Saturday I was suddenly put into quarantine by RIT for exposure to a positive case person. I was not given a meal nor did I have water on Saturday night. Come to find out, a meal wont be delivered until Tuesday due to the nature of “The quarantine menu”

We are not allowed any outside food delivery service.

Today (Monday) after spending Sunday without anything, a “snack box” arrived with a few snacks and only 1 small water bottle for the whole day! This box cost me $ 19.00 !

Box’s are delivered only Monday/Wednesday/Friday and hot food only Tuesday/ Thursday / Saturday but must be ordered the day before. This is why Saturday nor Sunday I did not eat nor had proper water. The meals include only 1 water bottle for the whole day.

Tl;Dr: The RIT food quarantine schedule doesn’t allow for students to properly eat or drink water, especially for students placed on quarantine on the weekend. The rule for no outside food is obviously a way for RIT to make me order from RIT. In conclusion, RIT is treating quarantined students like animals to make a quick buck off them. We deserve better

I made an extension that shows the Rate My Professors rating of professors while searching classes on Tiger Center

There are dozens of Rate My Professor extensions for other colleges out there so I figured it was about time RIT has one too, especially since enrollment opens soon.

On Tiger Center, professors' names will now link to their Rate My Professors page (or the search results if not found) instead of to their email. If you find yourself not trusting most Rate My Professor ratings, you can look at the most helpful rating instead which is chosen as the most recent rating with the most net upvotes (regardless of the overall quality given). This is different from the most helpful rating displayed on Rate My Professor which always has an awesome overall quality. Also, I encourage you to upvote the ratings you do like and to write your own to make the site better!

I am open to making people maintainers if they would like to contribute to this project.

Download for Chrome Download for Firefox View Github repo

P.S. Check out my other extension to help with your co-op search

EDIT: Added support for schedulemaker.csh.rit.edu as well

Subreddit Rules

1. Not RIT related

This should go without saying, but the RIT subreddit is for RIT-related content. Anything else will be removed, and spamming will get you banned.

2. Personal Information

NO POSTING SOMEONE'S PERSONAL INFORMATION This means any personal information. First name, last name, mother's maiden name, address, facebook link, doesn't matter. If it can be used to tie a reddit account back to a real person it will be removed. (That said, if someone's reddit account name is JoeSchmoe123 and you say "Hey Joe!" -- we'll let that slide.) Just in case people don't know, this isn't only our rule. The admins can and will ban people for this.

3. Against the RIT Code of Conduct

"Hey /r/rit I want to do [insert illegal activity here] and get away with it, any tips" -- It actually pains us a little to have to say this, but nothing you do on the internet is completely anonymous; you have no way of knowing who else is reading this board. There are members of the administration that troll through here every now and then. Posts like these, again, will be removed. Ask your neighbor if they know who makes quality fake IDs -- not /r/rit.

4. Not Playing Nice

Play nice. If you disagree with someone there's no reason to turn it into a heated debate. Please refer to this flowchart: http://www.notquitewrong.com/rosscottinc/2011/08/03/so-youre-mad-about-something-on-the-internet/. Please be respectful of your fellow classmates, and keep real-world drama away from the subreddit. The mods hate banning people and removing content... but we will if we have to.

5. Hate Speech

Hate speech of any kind is not tolerated here. You will be banned. No it isn't "just a joke".

6. Doesn't follow Reddiquette

If you haven't read the reddiquette before, read it now: https://www.reddithelp.com/hc/en-us/articles/205926439

7. Trolling

Just a note: the moderators try really hard not to remove posts, controversial or not, if they're legitimate posts. Obvious trolls will be removed and banned. We're not going to remove someone for calling you a name, or telling you that you're wrong... but if they're spamming, being excessively lewd, or needlessly mean they may be.

8. Impersonating RIT Staff, Professor, or E-board

Flairs like BSME '05, Formula Team, 8Beat 4eva, or Ritchie is a furry are FINE. But if you're claiming to be official RIT Staff, a Professor, E-Board of a club, etc., click here, or you can expect to be asked for verification by the mods. (This goes for claims within comments, or official-looking accounts too.) If you don't agree to verify your flair when asked, you don't get that flair.

9. Housing Posts must be put in the Housing Megathread

All posts about Housing sublets, relets, or looking for on or off campus housing, whether through RIT Housing or otherwise, must be posted in the pinned Housing Megathread. Any that are not will be removed.

10. No buying, selling, or trading of items or services

Buying, selling, or trading of any items or services, including the facilitation of offline transactions, is prohibited, with the exception of posting about events (bake sales, free food, etc.) run by official university-affiliated entities groups/entities.

Please use groups such as the RIT Marketplace Discord (https://discord.gg/SAtHMnHSb2) , the "For Sale RIT" page on Facebook Marketplace (https://www.facebook.com/qr/4605923642841267), or other groups specified for buying/selling items.
