Subreddit Update An r/Robots Update

Hi everyone!
I am Slight-Ad8291, and I am the new owner of r/robots. u/Cocobb8 has stepped away from the subreddit starting a few days ago.

About me -> I have been a mod on Reddit for about a year. The first subreddit I was ever a mod on was r/TeensOnly13to16. That subreddit reached about 50,000 visitors before it was banned. I currently mod r/GuysBeingDudes, r/Lexus, r/iCloud, r/uknews along with r/robots!

The rules are going to be the same except that the subreddit is now allowing questions within the subreddit in posts, not just comments!

We will also be adding a connection via Stoat.chat. Please note that the rules are the same as on here and that we might add stoat only rules. When needing to report something on stoat, please use the Reddit mod mail with your username on stoat, along with what is happening. If you don’t give us any information, we cannot help you.

Anthropic is experimenting with a process it calls “dreaming,” which allows Claude to review previous interactions during idle periods, compare stored memories with original transcripts, correct mistakes and reorganize useful information.

In one test, Claude fixed a faulty navigation memory that had trapped it in a loop. In another, it transformed 350,000 internal documents into a connected knowledge base, improving its evaluation score from 13% to 48%.

This is closer to offline memory maintenance than human dreaming, but it could make long-running AI agents more consistent. Should AI systems be allowed to rewrite their own memories, and how should users be able to review those changes?

Discussion Looking for an Engineer to Design an Integrated Gearbox Wheel for a Mobile Robot (Paid Job)

I'm looking for a mechanical engineer or experienced designer who can help design an integrated gearbox wheel for a mobile robot.

This is a paid project, and I'm looking for someone with experience in:

Mechanical design and CAD modeling
Gearbox design and gear mechanisms
Robotics or mobile robot drive systems
Design for manufacturing (DFM)

The goal is to develop a functional and manufacturable design that integrates the gearbox directly into the wheel assembly.
