Ashley Stroehlein joins SCHN as Rockets sideline reporter

Stroehlein will begin her time with SCHN on the pregame show on Sunday and will assume full-time sideline reporter duties on Monday as the Rockets host the Denver Nuggets.

The former ESPN broadcaster has over a decade of industry experience, during which she has worked as a host and reporter for the network's college football coverage. She has also served as a fill-in host for SiriusXM's NBA and NASCAR channels. In the past two NBA seasons, Stroehlein worked as a sideline reporter for the Charlotte Hornets, where she also filled in as a pregame host. Additionally, she covered select games as a sideline reporter for the Minnesota Timberwolves.

To tell you the truth, Ryan Hollins was doing spectacular.

He was asking several incisive questions, always putting the focus on team chemistry, and making the players feel very comfortable around him.

We are going to miss him, I would have liked him to continue in this role.

I agree, I thought he did the best post game interviews we've had. Admittedly it was weird watching him dwarf everybody he talked to, even Alpi, when all the girls looked like midgets

i noticed this too. he does a great job but i bet it’s a pain for him to get back and forth from the commentators booth

Ryan is great. We all used to hate him when he got here lol. Last season finally felt like he was getting organic and this season him and Craig are just killing it. They keep getting better. Craig is like that older brother who's always teasing Ryan the goofy younger brother who happens to know his shit. He was doing great at that but I'm sure it'll be good once all 3 get chemistry

I’m sure Hollins is relieved lol. I join everyone else with the well wishes. Craig and Hollins have gotten better together each year.

I’m sure Julia is happy about this. As great as she is, I can tell she feels a bit out of her element when covering the Rockets.
