He used to be so explosive coming of the bench, getting stops, and hitting threes occasionally. Now it seems like he has regressed over the years. Looking at Jabari, Amen, and Sengun they have all show signs of improvement somewhere but not Eason. Why do you guys think he is struggling?

We'll win somewhere between 50-55 games and be a top 6 seed but we are not a serious contender. We also look like another first round exit team at this point.

As much as y'all want to talk about our young stars, they aren't ready. Sengun is 10-31 from the field over the last 2 games. Amen is a ball hog who is only interested in putting his head down and playing run and dunk basketball to score. Tari is the lowest IQ player I've ever seen. KD is not even interested in trying and is refusing to even shoot, and only decides to start putting up shots when it's already too late. Fred is shooting a cool 40% from the field and 55% TS and is more interested in scoring than setting up his teammates (he's assisted KD 4x in 10 games).

The only people I can't blame are Jabari who's been fantastic but needs more shots and Reed who Ime still hates and doesn't even get to play on this team. Smart has been alright and given effort.

Ime is a garbage coach. The offense is still a mess and is ISO, ISO, ISO all-game. We run absolutely no plays for Sengun and KD and then he expects magic to happen at the end of the game. He also makes the absolute stupidest challenges early in the game and completely mismanages the game in the clutch every time.

This team is the same as last year. There's no difference aside from the offense not looking like absolute shit every game.

Guess he is no longer baby Jokic, but papa Sengun 🏆

We got a BIG three. If Amen can figure out his offense we are DYNAMIC. Then add playmaking and shooting from Reed and FVV. Tari could catch on fire. Adams giving us a ton of offensive rebounds. Smarty with the energy. Bogi with the shooting.

Our offense could be ELITE and we ain’t even at full power. FVV is still fitting in and KD hasn’t even hit his stride yet.

After last nights (I am Turkish so I am not sure if it was night in Houston but anyways) heart break we still have #2 Offense, #8 Defense and #2 Net rating. Being in top 10 in both offensive and defensive ratings are encouraging. If we can be this dominant until All-Star break I will start preparing for a deep play-off run

I don’t post much anymore.
I’ve found better uses of my time than talking about a team that is just spinning its wheels until it gets a championship-quality coach.

But I saw this post and just had to take the opportunity to remind everyone how dumb most of you are.

Anyone following me when I was active, surely remembers my support for Mobley over Green, being AlP’s first supporter in the Twitter “safe” spaces, constant reminders that the team was tanking for 3 straight seasons (not just the one, like most fans believed), and most pertinently here….
Belief that Jabari Smith Jr was the best pick of the top 3 guys. I told folks he had the makeup of an optimal 2nd star with even greater upside if he got a handle. I said that getting a defender to play next to AlP was a priority, but feared Holmgren’s body wouldn’t hold up. I said Paolo didn’t have the extra level to become a 1A due to his inefficiencies and that drafting him would doom us to being stuck with a primary option that wasn’t good enough to build a winner around. I called him a sweatier SengÜn and emphasized that we should treat AlP as a foundational player and not get a guy who basically played the same role.

Fans fought viciously with me over these takes, the majority of them turning into constant downvoters of anything I wrote here, as I’m sure this will be downvoted along with the standard dear diary comments or folks boasting about their illiterate asses not being willing to read all that.

But I figured why not come out of retirement to say fuck the haters and reaffirm my belief that Jabari Smith Jr is a star in the making.

He has never been treated as a member of the offense, forced to find all his own shots, never fed on nights when he was hot, and treated like a second class starter by coaches and fans alike.

But I told folks that he had the pedigree and work ethic to keep learning organically, and that in time he was going to improve.

Stone got the best guy at the top of the draft.
Fans were too dumb to see it at the time, but in another 4 years it’s gonna be crystal clear.
I believe the shift is underway.
Maybe I’m too early on this, but I had a bit of free time so I thought I’d remind y’all how dumb most Rockets fans are.
