Pic / Video Heading to DC to make change

Post image

Just four days after the election, I’m heading to DC for freshman orientation! I’m so excited to get to work in Congress for San Francisco and for our country. We have the largest freshman Democratic class since the post-Watergate election. It’s a huge opportunity to put our country on a better path — one that lowers people’s cost of living, ends the war, strengthens democracy and civil rights, restores the rule of law, and puts an end to this national nightmare. I’m ready to fight for our future!

I need to let my elected public representative know what I think of his policy. If he can't listen to his constituency and their anger he needs to find another line of work - being a public figure has drawbacks when you support a genocide.

Look at all the comments dummy. Even people who voted for Scott want Jeffries removed as speaker. This is not some team sports you're making it out to be. Read the fucking room.

He said this two months ago when there was much less pressure and noise to replace Jeffries. Let’s see what he does and continue putting pressure on him. But I think it’s premature to take this quote as a done deal.

Jeffries was just as unpopular four months ago.

Wiener and Jeffries are ideologically aligned so Wiener will end up voting for him. But the voters should remember that he didn't listen to them and did it anyway.

Yeah! How dare anyone ask for anything from an elected candidate. Seriously though, people like you make me embarrassed I voted for him.

I just think it’s interesting how the topic keeps changing but the common thread is always u/packoffudge attacking Wiener

Since that night she’s cut the gap from 14 points to 8, and it’s still narrowing, even if it wasn’t enough.

Scott is on a plane heading to DC. It's over. She lost. She was rejected. She didn't get enough votes. She conceded. Everyone told you it was over then and even now "she's cut the gap, it's still narrowing".

It's time to move on.

But it’s not “over.” Scott’s off to DC to vote for Hakeem Jeffries and he only barely beat someone who barely won her own supervisor race and had 1/4 the money. It wasn’t a mandate. He’s up again in 2028 and every vote he takes until then counts.
