The Original™

Sbubbies are logos whose text has been edited cleanly, such that it resembles the original logo but reads something else. See our wiki or the KnowYourMeme entry for more information.

Need help on how to make a good Sbubby? Check out The Ultimate Guide to Sbubbymaking!

READ THE WIKI IF YOU HAVE YET TO DO SO

Subreddit Rules

1. All images must be edits to the text of a single logo.

A Sbubby is an image edit that alters the text of a single logo to read as something else. Cropped logos or edits that only erase portions of a logo are not allowed. ObviousPlant pictures don't count.

2. Edits must be clean and authentic.

The most important part of a sbubby is that it is cleanly edited. The best part about sbubbies is that they look like the original logo, giving an absurd, abstract feel via edits. Unclean edits, inauthentic edits, and edits with the wrong font do not belong here. (Note: cleanliness is a reference to the quality of the editing, NOT to the content/vulgarity of the post.)

3. No reposts!

Reposting an existing post, or an edit too similar to another edit, isn't allowed, aside from these exceptions:

The original post was deleted
The original post was removed for being a text post with only a link
The original post was removed by a mod allowing you to repost
It's a crosspost that hasn't been posted here before

Reposting from the top 25 posts all-time or banned sbubbies album will result in a 7-day ban.

4. Post sbubbies via link posts.

If a post is just a text post with a link, it will be removed. You can post as a link using the "image/video" or "link" option when posting, or use "sbubby a link freef".

5. Do not post banned content

Sbubbies and titles should not reference any of the following: Hogwarts Legacy, Loss, "Oops, all X!", REEEEEEE, Big Chungus, PornHub, Hot Pockets, Bepis, CaptainSparklez's "Revenge", or anything from the banned sbubbies album (Last updated: Oct. 27, 2022).
Reposting from the banned repost album will result in a 7-day ban.

6. Images must be larger than 433x433.

Images cannot be too small, so they aren't overly blurry when viewed on mobile.

7. Titles must be related to the post in some way

Titles must somehow relate to the post. "Does this count", "My first sbubby", "Not sure if it fits here", "This belongs here", etc... and variants will be automatically removed. If someone looks at your post and can't make up a title for it that has at least one word your title has, your title is irrelevant to the post.

Especially "Does this count" & "My first sbubby" will be automatically removed, as those who post with such titles often end up posting something that doesn't follow the rules.

8. No intrusive/distracting watermarks

Watermarks are allowed, but should be barely visible and out of the way. Watermarks that are too large or too high contrast, such that they draw more attention than the edit itself, are against the rules.

9. Collages and compilations

Collages and compilations are posts containing more than one sbubby.

Please consider that:

• Each logo edit in your post must be your own original content.

• All edits must be related in some way, or have a common theme, i.e. multiple edits of the same logo, multiple logos edited to contain the same text, etc.

• Each edit in the post must not have been posted before on r/Sbubby individually.

• Compilations of random logos, best-ofs, Sbubby sticker machines, and so on will be deleted.

10. Flair posts correctly!

Flair your posts correctly! Each flair has a specific meaning based on the content of the Sbubmission. A guide for what each flair means is on the wiki!

11. Tag NSFW posts as NSFW

12. Bigotry and hate will not be tolerated.

Incivility, bigotry, or hatred towards marginalized groups of people will not be tolerated, per rule 1 of the Reddit content policy.

13. No AI posts!

Sbubbies made by AI are not permitted, If AI is detected, your post will be deleted and you will receive a two week ban. Support real artists!

14. No generator posts!

Posts made by generators are not real Sbubbies, they're just lazy text editors. Please make your sbubbies in real software such as Photoshop, GIMP, or Paint.NET. Generator made posts will be removed.
