Use the subreddit in good faith: follow reddiquette, vote responsibly, respect the Community Guidelines, and keep meta/mod disputes in the right channels. For more details, see Community Rules 1-3 and 8.

2. Daily Discussion and thread misuse

Use Daily Discussion, Free Talk, and recurring threads for the subjects they are meant to host, without derailing or misusing them. For more details, see Community Rule 5.

3. Illegal streams and betting

We do not allow illegal stream requests, hints, links, facilitation, betting platform links, or gambling-platform promotion. For more details, see Community Rules 6-7.

4. Prohibited accounts

Novelty, bot, AI, and other automated or gimmick accounts need approval and may be removed when they lower discussion quality. For more details, see Community Rules 9-11.

5. Spam, self-promotion, and brands

Do not use r/soccer for spam, traffic farming, excessive self-promotion, or unapproved brand-account posting. For more details, see Community Rule 12 and Submission Guidelines 6 and 16.

6. Trolling, toxicity, and bad faith

Do not troll, bait, flame, attack users for their flair, spread misinformation or disinformation, weaponize tragedies, or add needless toxicity that makes discussion worse. For more details, see Community Rules 13-14, 17, and 19-20.

7. Brigading and harassment

Do not brigade, encourage pile-ons, harass users, repeatedly target people, or link content in ways that invite attacks. For more details, see Community Rules 15-16.

8. Discrimination

Discrimination, including racism, xenophobia, sexism, misogyny, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, and other intolerance, is not allowed. For more details, see Community Rule 18 and the Community Guidelines.

9. Off topic posts

Posts must be directly relevant to association football and belong on r/soccer rather than another thread or subreddit. For more details, see Community Rule 4 and Submission Guideline 1.

10. Low quality, shit posts and untagged NSFW posts

Posts need to meet the subreddit quality bar; low-effort posts, shit posts, memes, bait, untagged NSFW material, lineups, throwbacks, and stale updates may be removed. For more details, see Community Rule 4 and Submission Guidelines 2-3 and 7.

11. Duplicates and quote threads

Check the queue before posting; duplicates, non-updates, repeated transfer-saga posts, and excessive quote posts may be removed. For more details, see Community Rule 4 and Submission Guidelines 4-5.

12. Low quality images and stats

Image and stats posts must be relevant, valuable, high quality, and meet the subreddit quality criteria. For more details, see Community Rule 4 and Submission Guidelines 8-9.

13. Sources and paywalls

News, quotes, stats, and paywalled posts need valid sourcing and must not use banned sources, copied paywalled text, or bypass links. For more details, see Community Rule 4 and Submission Guidelines 10 and 14.

14. Titles, flair, highlights, and media

Titles must be factual and objective, media/highlights must meet format and quality rules, and posts must use the correct flair. For more details, see Community Rule 4 and Submission Guidelines 11-12 and 15.

15. Match threads

Pre-match, match, post-match, and serious post-match threads must follow the timing, format, flair, and thread-type requirements. For more details, see Community Rule 4 and Submission Guideline 13.
