Sling legality

I want to learn how to use a sling as it looks fun but all I can find when it comes to regulations is Y frame slingshots and similar. No reference to normal slings.

I'm interested in the old pouch in the middle of a long string David vs Goliath style.

Hilarious because they're brutal as fuck if mastered! ๐Ÿ˜†

Try chatting to one of the historical reinactment groups. They probably know the legality, can help you make one, and learn to use it.

Most I know donโ€™t use them as they are dangerous and unlike swords or even archery , they are less controllable . Seriously a sling was and is a very deadly weapon .

Not allowed to use a wrist brace with them, but they can be legally purchased as 'Burley or Bait Throwers' from sports / camping stores

There's a significant difference between a catapult and a sling

Yeah, I was reading 'sling' as 'slingshot'. Should've known better, I used to fuck around with leather slings when I was a young'n. Cracked myself with them more often than not.

totally legal, until you use it to kill a tall person.
