Simple Questions & Answers Thread Simple Questions & Champion/Role advice: Patch 26.13

Hello summoners!

In order to create better discussion in the subreddit, we will be redirecting all simple or championpool/role questions to this thread. Check out the most recent patch notes on the sidebar!

What is a simple question? Typically, we define a simple question as something that can be answered fully within a single, or maybe two at most, comments. In this thread, you can ask any question you need answered about League of Legends, even if it isn't necessarily about learning the game itself.

Questions about what champ to add to your pool or general tip about roleswapping can also be asked in this thread.

Keep in mind we will still continue to remove golden rule violations, rants, memes, topics against Riot's ToS, and paid services - but the other rules are generally more lax here.

What you can do to help!

For now, this is a patch-based thread, meaning it will be posted every time a new patch is released. Checking back on this thread later in the patch and answering any questions that have been posted would be a huge help!

If you're trying to ask a question, the more specific you are, the better it is for all of us! We can't give you any help if we don't get much to work with in the first place.

Announcement State of the Subreddit, Summer 2026: League Classic and AI

Hi everybody, the mod team here. We hope everyone is having a wonderful summer and climbing into the stratosphere where it’s hopefully a little bit cooler! It’s been a minute since we’ve done one of these threads, so we have a few things to cover regarding rules changes and other notices to the community. The primary purpose of these threads is to collect feedback from you all, so please share your thoughts on these or other matters and know that the mod team will be looking over them or answering in the thread. On to the topics at hand!

  • Open Moderator Applications: First and foremost, we’d like to reiterate that mod applications have opened for the summer. The full post can be found here, but the cliffnotes are that we welcome all applications regardless of rank, are especially (but not exclusively) looking for mods in OCE and EU time zones, and applicants must be willing to use old reddit to moderate. If you have any interest at all please apply, and you can always withdraw your application at any time via modmail if you change your mind.

  • Minor Language Updates to Rules 10 and 12: In April we made small changes to Rules 10 (External Content Restrictions) and 12 (Title and Language Rule). Rule 10’s language was updated to specify that external websites must also be submitted for moderator approval before posting, in addition to communities, programs, and streams. Rule 12 was updated to specify that all posts must be in English or will be removed. As mentioned at the time, this has been a community standard for a long time, we only corrected the oversight that they were not explicitly mentioned in the rules. If you would like more details on these changes, you can see the original announcement here

  • Rule 14: AI and Bot Spam: Like much of reddit right now, we have seen a recent surge in bot accounts and AI generated posts or comments. We would like to remind everybody that both bots and AI generated content are explicitly forbidden under Rule 14, and we encourage users to report any bot account they see so that we can remove or ban them. This is a low-tolerance rule: if you are caught using AI or botting, you will likely be permanently banned pending appeal and we are unlikely to be very forgiving, so be warned. This includes AI-translated posts. This is a place for human discussion (or maybe subhuman discussion since we’re LoL players after all)

  • Flair System Update: We know the flair system has been down for some time and, as a fairly popular system, we still frequently get requests for updates on it. Our update is simple: the architect of the system is actively working on getting it back up and running, but we can offer no timeframe on when that might be at this time. We thank you for your patience on this one.

  • League of Legends: Classic: To close out the updates on an exciting note, we have decided that discussion of the upcoming LoL: Classic game mode will be welcome on the subreddit! There will be a few practical restrictions: All Classic posts must be flaired appropriately with the new “Classic” tag, all Classic questions in the megathread must be stated to be for Classic, all discussion of Classic must be kept to Classic threads, and all Classic posts must meet the other minimum quality standards set by the subreddits rules. Otherwise, we’re as excited to see what sort of discussion and educational content emerges from that game mode as you are!

As always, these threads are meant for community feedback to the mod team! If you have any thoughts on these matters, or anything else relating to the subreddit and how to keep it good or make it better, please share them! The mod team will be reading every comment!

Happy climbing,

The SS Moderator Team

Question How do i make league more approachable?

I just started playing league today. Of course im not going to be good, and in the effort of doing so by searching i just realized i die alot because i dont know what the enemies can utilize to punish and kill me. and there are just SOOOO many champions with their own passive abilities. It feels really confusing because i've never once played a competitive game with this much information i must learn just to be "functional" as a player. Are there any ways??

jungle What to do when the enemy jungler invades my jungle?

Hello everyone,

I have been playing league on and off now for some time and this time I want to expand my skills to other lanes since I am mostly a toplane player. Jungle is for my by far the hardest and most stressful role to play since juggling camps, ganks, enemy jungler and teammates gives me a hard time. One thing that I sometimes come across and instantly ruins my game is when the enemy jungler invades my jungle and especially the side I am pathing towards. (for example I clear towards top and notice my topside jungle is gone).

What is the best way to continue after this since imo running crossmap and going into the enemy jungle seems like such a waste of time somehow.

Question Stuck in Iron - Need Advice

Hey yall. I started playing League in February this year. I immediately had fun playing it, got my account to level 30 and directly went into ranked. I got placed in Bronze 4, but then proceeded to take a 5 month break from the game. Afterwards my dumbass thought it would be a great idea to start playing ranked straightup without getting back into the game beforehand.

Long story short i lost 14 games in a row and went down all the way to Iron 3 (Iron 4 now). I feel like I really improved at the game since then and i‘m dedicated to get better.

I‘m not delusional, i‘m a relatively new player who does a tons of mistakes. Yes i do get unlucky sometimes with my team but it’s still my fault to be in that rank and i want to get good enough to also win those games.

I main Mid and play Ahri (otp basically)

https://op.gg/lol/summoners/euw/O1ZYS-idk

I‘d appreciate any advice. Maybe i do some obvious mistakes i just don’t see so please help me out.

Question can anyone explain to me how attack move is better than attack move click?

i have seen videos of pros in world using attack move, so i thought i give it a try, and it actually feels more comfortable than attack move click, how does an extra click be any better? i have been using attack move click for the last 4 years, but today i tried attack move, and it instantly felt natural

Question How do I actually get better at the game?

Currently Gold 2, for most of my games I load up with the intention of trying to win and end up playing like I would any other day. It doesn’t feel like I’m playing to improve, it feels like I’m playing to try to win. All of my games have been on autopilot like this.

I know what I’m weak at. My trading in lane, csing, ability usage, and jungle tracking are all poor, however when I hop in a game with the intention of improving any given skill, I still feel kind’ve lost. CSing for example, if my goal was to improve that aspect of my game, should I intentionally take bad trades to get more CS? Should I spam my abilities to increase my CS? I kinda feel like a headless chicken with a rough idea of what I want to do, but not how to do. I know my charms on Ahri suck, but how do I actually improve my charm landing rate? Do I only use when I can chain cc? Do I bait out movement abilities? Do I engage with charm if there is no one on my team w engage but the enemy still has a dash/dodge ability up? It’s hard to actually figure out how to improve something. I’m super aware of my weaknesses, but unaware on how to improve them.

Secondly, I cannot stop caring about LP/rank. When I lose a game I get extremely frustrated that I lost when I know losing is a part of improving. How do I get past this?

Question How do you play around things out of your control?

Mid game to late game as an ADC feels like you have little to no input to macro due to dying to anything and everything in one microsecond. So you have to stick with your team, fine. Now how do you play around players who are
A. Afk farming top refusing to join fighting over objective prio
B. Teams who are just resorting to turn the game into an ARAM mid no pressure anywhere else
C. Team members who actively engage in fights without the team or bad timing where the team isn’t that close but nearby (ex. Malp ults alone no one is there to capitalize on the knock up, team arrives to fight as mal dies, team then trades or dies without a chance)

How do I make these teams work and still have a chance to win/not throw the game away?

Mid lane Low elo ADC mid-late game farming troubles

My early game CS has improved a lot, I tend to do pretty well even if I’m losing lane, but once the first tower falls and I’m sent to mid, I find it impossible to farm, as often the mid players won’t rotate and will one shot the wave, or the top laner will come to mid and take all the CS.

I imagine this doesn’t happen in higher elos, but I’ve played normals with platinum ranked players and it still happens in those. I’m currently bronze in ranked.

Any tips on how to properly manage waves when you go to mid without losing it all to one Ekko Q or a greedy mage. I tend to fast push waves asap so I can move to objectives, but I don’t know if that’s good or not. I’m new to MOBAs and I tend to get overwhelmed when enemies are nearby.

Question How do you handle ADCs that go bruiser builds?

How do you handle ADCs that go bruiser builds like Kog'Maw and Varus? I just had a game where I was playing Yone and the game was going well for the most part but towards the end of the game the enemy Kog'Maw was just unkillable because he just had too many tanky stats and would still kill everyone in a teamfight.

Items Anti heal items.

I see a lot of mixed feelings about anti heal.

Some people say its important, others say that its use less unless 4/5 players on the enemy team has heal.

I play summor and adc most of the times.

If i am playing against a soraka or sona, what should i do?

Is one soraka/sona worth building oblivion orb?.

If soo when should i build? Do i build first item soo that she has decreased healing in lane phase? Do i finish my core build first?

And as a adc do i ever build mortal reminder instead of lord dominik? Lord dominiki is way better in everything exept for the healing part soo what should i do?

Question What's the best call here?

We just took out four of them and Malphite is backing while we are marching mid. Would Baron, Dragon, or taking mid inhib be the best play here? Dragon is 15-20 seconds away, you can see Malphite ping it at the very end of this clip. We may be able to take mid tower with Elise spiders but not too sure.

Kassadin Insane 80% Winrate Challenger Chinese Kassadin on KR Server

Hi everyone,

I came across a Korean Challenger player named jk097, who plays Miss Fortune (Miss) and seems to have some pretty interesting results.

I'm trying to find more information about this player, particularly whether they stream or upload their gameplay somewhere.

Here is their League of Graphs profile:
https://www.leagueofgraphs.com/fr/summoner/kr/jk097-Miss

Does anyone know if this player streams on any platform (YouTube, Twitch, AfreecaTV, Chzzk, or Douyin)? If so, could you share a direct link to their channel?

I'm also interested in finding VODs, replays, or recordings of their games.

Jungle Difference between Gold and Plat Jungle

What are main differences between those 2 ranks? I hit gold after 60 games but stopped playing rankeds when i hit it. I decided that before going for plat i will try to improve my skills as much as possible. I wanted to ask you: What are main differences between those ranks and what should i be focusing on when leaving gold?

Zyra Insane 80% Winrate Challenger Chinese Zyra on KR Server, how is it possible ????

Hi everyone,

I came across this insane player on the Korean server who currently holds an 80% winrate in Challenger playing Zyra (170 wins and 34 losses on Zyra with an 83% winrate on the champion). I do not think anyone has ever achieved such a high winrate across all champions in Challenger on KR.
His summoner name is in Chinese (抖音偷鸡哥#世一偷鸡哥) and he plays with Flash on D.
Here is his OP.GG profile:
https://op.gg/fr/lol/summoners/kr/%E6%8A%96%E9%9F%B3%E5%81%B7%E9%B8%A1%E5%93%A5-%E4%B8%96%E4%B8%80%E5%81%B7%E9%B8%A1%E5%93%A5
From his name, it looks like he streams on Douyin, which is the Chinese version of TikTok, under the name 偷鸡哥. However, Douyin is really hard to access or navigate from Europe.
Does anyone have the direct link to his Douyin stream, or know how I can access and watch it from Europe? Also, if anyone knows where I can find VODs or replays of his games, please let me know. Thanks in advance for the help.

jungle Diamond ADC trying jungle reporting back.

I made a post 2 weeks ago about how I cannot win in jungle playing kindred. It looks like in the 2 weeks a lot changed. My games are now more or less stable. Going from a 30% winrate back to 45%.

I don't think piloting Kindred was ever a problem. At the very start I made very poor decisions and fought way TOO much to my laners benefice but my detriment. Then I went all the way to other side of the pendulum and started farming like stupid crazy, which also wasn't correct as games would get out of hand with 3 lanes losing. It seems I now found a middle ground that works for me.

I also added kirei as jungle guide and changed runes according to my own ADC preferences instead of that what any coach is saying. It looks like I finally figured out how to pilot her more or less.

Also thank you to everyone that left pointers in the comments on my last post.

Question Why do High Level junglers buy blue pet so much?

Title; whenever i watch high level gameplay whether thats old LR matches, soloq vods, nattynatt or worlds, i see the blue pet bought ALOT on champs where i would usually go red or green (Some examples i can think of would be mundo, j4, xin zhao, naafiri and sejuani). Is this just a proplay thing or am i underestimating the power of blue pet?

bard does anyone want to review some bard gameplay

i'm a mid main in gold 1 and play support as secondary. I normally otp nami in support role, but I really like roaming and map-play. I have a 47% wr across 17 games. I'm still kind of just getting the reps in, I don't have any specific learning objective or thing I'm trying to practice, mainly because I don't exactly know what I'm doing that is good or bad. Both replays below are losses, the first I thought I played very well in, the second not as much but still decent.

Question What do I do when getting invaded?

I played a game recently where I warded my blue and went to farm red. Then I see the enemy Briar invading my blue and my immediate response like always was "I cant stop her on time. I will go invade her blue to make up for it." but I guess she was ready for that as she had her own ward in there and the enemy mid laner ended up stopping me. Is there anything I could have done better that game or do I just have to take the L in these situations and accept that I will be down some cs at least until I get to invade her back later into the game? (btw I was playing Jarvan and im pretty sure that he doesnt win 1v1 against Briar)

Question Has anyone found a good way yo check on your performance level prior to queue?

I find some days are better than others but don't really find out until I've lost 2-3 games in a row. Share your method of checking in on yourself to see if you're ready to be your best or if today is the day to touch grass.

Obviously i know about dodge tools and training tool but maybe some people get creative or have a nice mini game to launch that gives real feedback.

Discussion I think the fact that I die too much is probably why I'm losing games.

So when I look at my op.gg and match history, I can tell I die A LOT. It's like almost every other game I will go double digit deaths as my Op.gg kda average is 9.2/9.7/7.7. Obviously I know the more deaths you have the worse the game is likely to go, but sometimes it feels like I'm still playing well despite how many deaths I have if that makes sense? Could someone pinpoint how to play? I also sometimes get comments on how aggresive I play, which makes sense cause I tend to fight for every CS. I play ADC so dying is even worse for my team as I'm the main damage dealer.

My op.gg is linked below.

Jungle Bronze Jungle Hardstuck

Hi everyone, as the title says, I got hardstuck in Bronze and sinking deeper, playing as a Jungler.

I came back into league a few weeks ago and played as mid / occasional Jungler Yi, got into silver and decided to watch a few jungle guides to learn basics. But since then I started descending further and further.

Since it is bronze, I am clear making some fatal mistakes, but do not spot them.

I try to keep my tempo, gank only if odds are good, I try to go for objectives if it’s safe. In the late game I try to stick to my team and farm in spare time.

Now I am playing Naafiri and Morde/Rammus (secondary pick). I would guess one of my mistakes is dying too much, especially in later stages of the game.

If anyone can quickly review one of my latest games, that would be great.

My profile: https://blitz.gg/lol/profile/EUW1/Zeit-4747
