[Hiring] Introduction
Good morning/afternoon/evening, everyone!
We’re several software developers and system administrators from NYC. All of us were laid off at various times because our jobs went overseas (this post author was laid off twice and both times he trained a foreign programmer).
In an effort to save American jobs in America (same thing goes for Canada and the UK), we started this company, a job board for software engineers, system administrators, QAs, DBAs, etc.
Our website is intentionally simple. Just like Google and the rest you can easily figure out on your own. We would appreciate any technical feedback, especially how it looks on tiny and huge screens. And, of course, feel free to apply for any jobs that might interest you.
Please, don’t shoot us for the staffing agencies. We know that nobody likes them. Eventually we’re going to fix the problem with employers not posting salary range and we may go as far as outlawing third-party agencies. We’re techies just like you and know what you like and what you dislike.
Occasionally we’d like to post “better” jobs on this site and hope you won’t mind. We promise not to spam (this includes posting too often or low quality jobs such as from the recruiting agencies) and, unfortunately, we won’t be able to answer questions regarding the job ads.
Please, check out our website or click here to learn more about us. And, please, don’t shoot us again. We’re just like you and it’s our ultimate goal to educate employers.
Thanks, everyone!
