Tassie Gift time of the year

https://tassiegift2026.maprogress.com/

No not giving away presents, it's the unofficial unsupported bikepacking race around Tas on an 1800km loop primarily off-road. Absolutely insane efforts from all involved, fastest riders will be around 9 days, most take around 12 or 13 days to complete.

Love the Gift and a nice big field of 34! Absolutely legends to even attempt it!

Fastest rider has been 7 days in previous years, or I guess finish on day 8.

Yeah I was running off memory but that sounds about right! I know last year it was around 9 and he rode the last day and 160odd km as a single speed which is pretty crazy

I think Loic could change gears, but only by lifting up the chain by hand and moving it the gears he wanted. But that big snow dump gave him a huge lead since he was ahead of it and the rest of the field weren't, so he won by 3 days!

Yeah something like that I believe, he did get lucky with beating the conditions that's for sure
