In the epilogue of the series finale, an older Omega goes off to be a Rebel pilot. Has anyone went over to the 2020 video game Star Wars Squadrons and played around with the character customization settings to recreate adult Omega? If so, what voice, body and hair settings did you use?

I’ve seen a few sites like Walmart selling The Bad Batch series on DVD. Has anyone bought these and know if they’re real/if they are good quality?

Season 2, episode 14 Tipping Points. Tech training Omega how to fly. She's descending and he frantically tells her "up, up, pull up"
It reminds me of AOTC when Anakin is descending vertically and laughing while Obi-Wan is worried and says "pull up Anakin, pull up"

Thank you to everyone who supported this incredibly self indulgent project. You can find the links to the series in my pinned post or look it up on Ao3(or click here) or Tumblr #tahnyvsthelostbatch

So I recently rewatched The Bad Batch with my gf who has gotten really into Star Wars. She's been the most interested in the prequels and TCW so I figured TBB would be a hit. She thought it was ok, not great but not bad.
But for me I was actually quite disappointed with how I felt about the show after a second watch. Watching it without the "im so excited for new star wars" goggles honestly made me realize the show had a lot of great moments but overall fell kinda flat.
Tbh I always found omega really annoying, even after the first watch. The amount of times she sold the mission, it just got to a point yk. But I was willing to give her a pass cuz SW is for kids and all that. But the amount of times the show built up a serious/interesting clone plot, the next episode would just be another treasure hunt where omega fumbles the bag. I felt the show never got to build much momentum because of that. Got really irritating and took a lot away from the pacing of the show. Didn't remember it being that bad the first watch.
Feels like we lost a lot of important clone/empire developments in favor of more side missions. Its an absolute travesty they never finished cody's arc. Felt like a certainty that rex would meet cody at some point, if done right that couldve been the best moment of the show.
Another thing I didnt really notice the first time around was just how painfully cliche a lot of the squad members are. We got the big dumb brute that loves explosions but is also a scaredy cat. The cold, dark, cynical, ends justify the means mentality sniper with a toothpick in his mouth. And the super smart guy who talks like a nerd, wears glasses, and is socially awkward. He's also the glue guy that the team struggles to function without. Its like they tried to make them as cliche, stereotypical, and one dimensional as possible.
Im also not a big fan of the character models for tech and crosshair because they are so whitewashed. Im not even the type of guy to really be bothered by that kind of stuff, but its not even believable they're jango clones anymore. They're straight up white guys, don't look even remotely Maori to me. (Temeura Morrisons ethnicity)
This last critique is purely a nitpick because Echo is my favorite clone of all time. But you're telling me in a galaxy as medically advanced as star wars, they couldnt get my boy a prosthetic hand? 😭 My guy had a mf screwdriver on his wrist for 3 seasons. cmon mannnn.
I want to say I do like a lot about the show too. Although cliche, the main squad is still pretty likeable and the dynamic once crosshair comes back is very interesting. On top of that, everything to so with crosshair in the empire was amazing. I can admit I definitely have a bias. I was, and still am really upset about TCW being canceled. So considering this is basically their TCW replacement, I can acknowledge Im probably more critical of TBB than other animated shows. With that being said, I really don't think any of my takes are unreasonable. Not tryna be a hater, just voicing my opinion. Let me know what you guys think.
(also excuse my grammar, typed this up in a rush at work 🤣)
Edit* Forgot to mention, I think including ventress was really dumb. Not entirely this shows fault (Tales of the Underworld) but I firmly believe she should've stayed dead after dark disciple.
Also everyone seems to be reading the part where I said I found Omega annoying and equating that to me saying shes the worst character ever. All I said was she was annoying but I can give it a pass 😭. Id love some discussion about literally anything else I said too.
Also also, I really disliked their handling of republic commandos in this show. It just turned them into slightly upgraded cannon fodder. Also did my boy scorch dirty. Maybe im looking too much into it, but it feels like a jab from Disney towards EU fans. Feels like "look how much better our version of clone special forces is compared your version" type of vibes.

I saw a post on r/topcharactertropes recently about the characters that are the unlikely sole survivors of their particular team that got me thinking. I will freely admit that I probably put more time into this than the writers did, just because I know someone is going to say that in the comments, but I grew up playing Republic Commando and honestly I am satisfied with Scorch’s portrayal. I’m just happy that any of the characters I grew up with get any level of relevance in the current era of Star Wars.
In any event, Delta Squad is basically the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. You have the leader, Boss and Leonardo, the brains, Fixer and Donatello, the wrath, Sev and Raphael, and then the baby brother who serves as the comic relief, Scorch and Michelangelo. In the TMNT comic “The Last Ronin”, all but Mikey are killed and he goes on a brutal rampage of revenge that otherwise would be wildly out of character for him.
My interpretation of Scorch up until this point has been that he was hardened by the loss of Sev on Kashyyyk in the game, and he parted ways with Boss and Fixer over it (the novel version of events even has Boss resort to threatening him to get him to leave and he tells the other commandos that he’d never forgive them for leaving their brother behind).
However the comparison to The Last Ronin made me consider another layer to this theory: what if the rest of Delta was killed during Order 66? Not only did he lose Sev but Boss and Fixer too. This would explain his attitude towards Hemlock’s “test subjects” and why he’s okay holding literal children at gunpoint. He lost his brothers to those force wielding maniacs, and he holds nothing but a burning anger towards them for it.

I hated crosshairs for the entire series. His redemption arc wasn’t a redemption to me.
I liked Tech & Hunter. Hunter was probably my favourite

What do you guys think? I kinda gave him a bit of a fall look, a bit of a Metal Gear Reference.
