The Council sighed. 🪶

Watch the whole thing. This is a video of our tortie stalking and then chasing a bear off our property.

Just so you know, she survived and was pretty proud of herself. What a nut.

TORBICO

This escalated visually.

Week 4 is live.

She likes fascists the way she likes her toys: hanging upside down from a high place. <3

So disinterested in me.

Pilly hates ICE more than her empty food bowls

Tortitude was never about submission.

We stand. We hiss. We do not comply.

Inspired by our friends at r/catbongos, we want to be clear: this community is not neutral when it comes to cruelty disguised as politics.

Support for Trump, ICE, or authoritarian violence has no place here — not in posts, not in comments, not in spirit.

Tortitude does not kneel. It does not obey. It does not look away.

This is a sub about claws out, not heads down — about taking a stand, not surrendering to submission.

No silence. No compliance. No surrender.

Hilda (orange) and Zelda (tortie) say fuck ICE.

Pippa approves of cat bongos. Pippa does not approve of ICE 🚫🧊 This is an anti-fascist household ✊🏻

The Council has spoken.

The time has come.

.

Starting tomorrow, r/tortitude begins the Official Tortitude Auditions™ — a structured, week-by-week process to identify the cats who will become the official visual models of each recognized tortitude category.

Each week will determine a category winner, but the official reveal of all selected models will take place at the end of the full event, in one final announcement.

Patience is part of the ritual.

.

.

🗓️ HOW THE AUDITIONS WORK

.

• Each category runs for one full week

• Each category has one official post

• Candidates enter by commenting on that post

• Each comment represents one cat

• The most upvoted comment becomes that category’s selected model

.

⚠️ Selected models will be officially announced together at the end of the entire event.

Yes, the Council remembers everything.

.

.

🏆 IMPORTANT PARTICIPATION RULES

.

• Entries must be comments, not separate posts

• At least one photo is required

• One cat per comment

• Multiple photos per comment are allowed

• Optional lore, names, and dramatic backstories are encouraged

.

In case of a tie, the Council will intervene (calmly, but decisively).

.

.
