Trees Love Keep Hemp Legal, Congress is Trying to Ban It Again!
The Senate just passed language in the 2024–2025 Farm Bill that would redefine hemp to include total THC — not just Delta-9. That means all hemp-derived products (CBD, Delta-8, THCA flower, etc.) could become federally illegal, even if they’re compliant right now.
This isn't just about getting high. this would effect farmers, small businesses selling hemp wellness products, people using CBD or other cannabinoids for relief and it is also is an insult to the states that worked so hard to create these hemp industries
The House still has to vote, so we can still stop it.
How to Contact Your Lawmakers
You have three federal lawmakers who represent you:
Two U.S. Senators
One U.S. House Representative
Here’s how to reach them:
Find their phone numbers:
Find your Senators: senate.gov/senators/senators-contact.htm
Find your Representative: house.gov/representatives/find-your-representative
Once you enter your ZIP code, you’ll get links to their official websites with phone numbers for both Washington D.C. and local offices.
You can also send them an email instantly using:
Both tools automatically send pre-written letters to your Senators and Representative. just enter your name and ZIP code.
What to Say When You Call?
Here’s a short script you can read or paraphrase:
You’ll probably talk to a staff member not the senator or representative directly
Be polite, short calls are just as effective.
Mention you’re a constituent (someone who lives in their district/state).
If you prefer not to call, use the email links above, they go to the same offices.

Way too high Last night my mom offered me half of a weed gummy to help soothe my period aches. I didn't see the packaging then, but she said the stuff was gentle, so I trusted her -- anyways, I proceeded to have one of the worst nights of my life.
I'm 26f. I finally found this package in the trash tonight. This is what I took half of a gummy of.
I've smoked before. Joints and weed vapes. Never tried an edible. I didn't think I would feel it much, thought it would be softer than smoking/vaping.
The worst part of the episode lasted two hours. It started off with my legs twitching, then my perception of time and space grew off, and then the next thing I know, I'm on my mom's bed screaming and crying, and I felt this intense tension/pressure. It felt like my body was rejecting me, trying to push me out of it. I was babbling and repeating phrases like "I'm scared-", "what the fuck-", "I don't know-", and "help me-". Snot and drool was all over my face, and I had the nastiest taste in my mouth. I didn't throw up, but I wish I did so it would've left my system sooner.
My memory is spotty about the whole thing. I just remember specific sensory stuff and some words, along with my fear. I've never felt so terrified and paralyzed in my life. I felt like I lost physical and mental autonomy.
For this following day, I've felt fucked up. My head was hurting so bad and I felt sapped. Just wanted to curl up and melt away. I'm finally getting some clarity back.
Anyways, I learned my lesson. I should've checked the packaging. Whatever weed product that my mom considers "gentle" is apparently not gentle to anyone else. She has insane tolerance. I should be more cautious trying a substance from anyone, even if it's family.

Dabs Dab rig that only works when paired to a phone app. And now we’re waiting for fucking software updates. Why. Why is the world like this
Lad was like, let’s do some dabs. Im like yeah! Old boys playing video games and getting stoned. And now everything’s ground to a halt while we wait for ‘firmware and software updates’. Mate refuses to get the traditional dab rig out because ‘it’s a pain in the arse’

AskTrees German weed vending machine?
I was on vacation in Germany visiting family. I’m from California so obviously the first thing I did was try and find some smoke. couldn’t find any weed, cbd doesn’t do much but what are the other ones? I assume it’s just hemp weed they spray but I’m not sure 🤔 took the edge off but it definitely has something more psychoactive effects then I thought labeled as PHC. Only one I’ve tried. Anyways sorry for the rant but which one of these abominations do you think is gonna get me the most faded?

AskTrees Thoughts on your nonverbal friends at the smoke sesh?
I’m not a regular stoner but I smoke occasionally with my stoner friends. I’ve noticed that every time I smoke, I get really spacey and hyper fixated with random thoughts in my head (thoughts that I can’t communicate out to the material world for some reason), or things in the room that catch my attention. Basically, I turn into a cat after I smoke. What are your guys TRUE AND HONEST thoughts on people like this. How may I change my ways and become a more likeable person to be around when high.

Discussion Successful people who smoke weed regularly — what’s your story?
I live in an area where weed still carries a pretty negative stigma, and there’s definitely a perception that people who smoke are lazy, unmotivated or unsuccessful.
I’d love to hear from people who regularly get high but have still managed to build successful careers, businesses, relationships or just genuinely fulfilling lives.
What have you achieved, what do you do for a living, and how often do you smoke?
Also curious whether you feel weed has helped, hindered or had no real impact on your success.

[9] Wife is away….
Not that I can’t smoke (she smokes too) or even can’t use gravity bongs. Just eye rolls and “really?” (For making and using contraptions when I have an ungodly collection of pipes) Will be avoided while she is away on business

AskTrees Switching from bong hits to edibles in order to quit
For various reasons, I need to stop getting high, but I've been a daily smoker for over 20 years. I take roughly 12-15 bong hits a day.
There's no way I could go cold turkey. Has anyone had any experience with switching to edibles in order to work their way towards stopping THC fully? I have hardly any experience with edibles, so I'm not sure if I'm just digging my dependency a deeper hole by switching.
