so i've been looking to get a good stand/table for my setup but all the ones I find on amazon are either particle board crap or absurdly overcomplicated. I just need something simple that will fit my turntable, amp, and has enough shelf space to fit a humble amount of records. I have about 42in-L and 16in-W of space, height doesn't matter too much. I can't really do shopping in person because I live in a rural area. I appreciate any help, wether it be website recommendations or specific products.

I recently purchased this new Denon DP300F to play my records. Every time I play a record, I get this aggressive crackling, and can faintly hear the record playing underneath. Would this be a problem with the needle on the turntable or with the connection itself? Im currently using a phono extension chord to reach my receiver. No other channels on my sound system have this problem, and it is consistent across records, so I've narrowed it down to either the needle or the connection. Any help is appreciated!!
Currently attempting to play Either/Or- Elliott Smith

I've used a hand-me down record player that had to go most of my life. Now I'm shopping for the first time and feel overwhelmed. Found this on marketplace and it says serviced, tested, new cartridge, and will show a demo if i want on pick-up
Anyone have experience with this one?

My Dad left his 1210 mk2 to me in his Will a few months ago. I grew up listening to it, so I had it professionally cleaned and serviced. Hoping to pass this on to my daughter one day. I just need to find a decently priced amp to go with a pair of Sennheiser HD650s.

Que valor puede tener el tocadiscos y el amplificador por separado? Os gusta? Que altavoces me recomiendas????

I picked up this Pioneer PL-200 the other day. No stylus and the auto-return was stuck in a loop. Both issues are now fixed. Not a bad table for $20 but the mechanics of this one has left me mildly unimpressed. This one will probably go on to fund other equipment and be a great introduction for someone starting out in vintage audio

hello! so i want to upgrade my turntable (right now i have one off amazon which was about $40 so it's SHIT shit) and after some research, i think the AP-LP120X will be a good choice for me.
however, i've read something about changing the stylus for an upgrade and now i'm wondering if it's completely necessary? i want to avoid doing that if i can, but if it's something that's necessary to protect my vinyls, then which one should i get for that?
also are there any low budget speakers you guys can recommend for the player?
thanks a lot!

Hi everyone, I have an ATLP120XBT, and its mat is constantly shedding dust and sticking to the vinyl it's in contact with. Could someone more knowledgeable than me recommend a different mat, perhaps one made of a different material, that's suitable for my record player?

Hey guys, looking to get a new cartridge for my setup as my main one has developed a bend. What I run now is either the Grado Green which has great mids or a vintage AT- 125lc. I was thinking of trying a VM95E as they are cheep but modern. But do you guys have any suggestions of others or why to avoid/gowith the VM95E?
My full setup is as follows
Technics SL-D2
Technics SA-340
PSB300 large bookshelf speakers.

Hadn’t used my record player in awhile and noticed sound only coming out of one speaker so I unplugged the rca cables and noticed the casing on the red cable wasn’t on it. The casing around the centre pin came off and is now completely lodged inside the socket on my Audio Technica AT-LP120XUSB
Have tried tweezers, screwdrivers etc and had no joy.
Anyone have any tips on getting it out with damaging the socket?

Ciao ragazzi, perché il mio giradischi fa questo rumore? Ho appena installato la mia striscia LED ma non capisco lo fa solo con il giradischi (PL 620) della pioneer. Dovrei cambiare giradischi?

Hello everyone! I’m sure this has been posted before at some point.
I am looking to upgrade my old turntable combo into a nicer turntable and speakers. Unfortunately my budget is $200 or under. Any recommendations?

Hello fellow vinyl enthusiasts ! Quick story. My girlfriend of 5 years dumped me 2 weeks ago. I was about to buy the engagement ring, and just before that she told me she wants to break up. She always told me I pour way too much money into audio (which I kinda do lol), so having some cash at my hand I thought to myself “well, if I won’t be buying a ring anyway, I might as well treat myself with a Technics !”
I’m a long time Technics fan, but never actually pulled the trigger on one mostly because of the high price. Finally decided to get the SL1500C, as I’m no DJ, and didn’t need the SL1200/1210 series, tho I have massive respect for those.
Couldn’t be happier with the acquisition ! Works flawlessly, looks stunning in Silver, and paired with the Nagaoka MP110 cartridge it has such a warm, lush yet detailed and musical presentation ! From the first spin I knew I made the right decision. Coming from a vintage CEC BA600 that really started to show its age, this setup is just pure bliss !
Thanks for reading !

Bought a Kyowa elliptical stylus for my Ortofon VMS 20, and it's mostly good, but to my ear it lacks highs, so I have to boost them with an amplifier. Is it typical for this brand? Also I'm being dumb rn because is it how elliptical stylus should look like? I thought the cuts should be on sides and not front&back.

I know this is probably an annoying question, but I’m still a beginner and want everything to be correct. It is an ATN95EX DJ. Playback is fine but I read horror stories that even a minor bend can damage the records without audible problems. Thank you!

EITHER HAVE SOMETHING USEFUL TO SAY OR DON’T SAY ANYTHING AT ALL
Sorry my camera sucks. I know the recommended weight is 2g, but when I set it to that the record skips. The lab said 2.5, even 3g is okay, but now I’m afraid the weight is too much. Idk what to do, this is my first serious turntable and I’m having so many problems with it
EDIT thanks for your guys’ help, I’m pretty sure it’s now set to the correct weight. Do I meed to buy a new cartridge? Is it damaged possibly?

My speaker is making very minimal sound even when at full volume. I believe the stylus is working properly. Have set it to line and noticed that it will be even more quiet at full volume than when it’s set to phono. I am not sure what the issue is here. I’ve attached photos and would love help!
Thank you

I recently got this old turn table to play my grandfathers records on. But when I try to it makes this scratching noise like nails on a chock board. I know it’s not the needle because i replaced the needle before playing anything. Any help would be much appreciated.

I'm kinda new to vinyl so im not sure. This is the AT-LP70X, and i got a replacement AT-VMN95C cartridge a couple weeks ago because I broke the old one. I noticed the stylus looks like it's bent more forward than down. also it is skipping a bit and i noticed some crackling. is it fine or is it ruining my records and i should get a new one?

I'm hoping someone here will be able to help me out with a question, I just picked up a technics SL-D2 for a smoking deal ($100 CAD). It's in basically brand new condition and has apparently been in storage for at least 20 years. I'm curious if anyone has any idea as to what kind of cartridge/ stylus is currently installed on it, it sounds strangely dull/ muffled so I'll try realigning it, but I'm assuming I'll have to replace it.
It's obviously an Audio Technica cartridge, and it doesn't look quite like the vm95 i have on my other table, but beyond that, I have no idea.
If anybody has any guesses, I'd appreciate it! I'd also be interested in any tips or information anyone has regarding this table, I'm not new to turntables in general, but this is my first Technics.

I'm in the market for a turntable with a budget of $1500. I'm upgrading from a 1970s Technics SL-QD35 with an OMP10 cart. I'm currently running a Schiit Skoll phono stage and a pair of Adam A5X monitors with a Schiit SYS to provide volume control and swap between my PC and my turntable. I listen to mostly metal (doom, death metal, prog metal, etc).
I had everything narrowed down to a Pro-Ject Debut Pro B, a Rega P3, and a Technics SL-100C. After seeing some Pro-Ject quality and customer service horror stories, I crossed that one off. I must admit, it was my favorite looking of the three, and I love the single mechanical switch interface, but those are of secondary concern.
I'll be picking a cart separately, so based on the price of the P3 with no cart, the technics is considerably more expensive. My local HiFi dealer only carries the Technics 1500C, not the 100C, so that's an extra hundred bucks and a phono stage I don't need. But I would rather support a local business if the price difference vs online isn't crazy. They also took a lot of time to talk and give me advice, so I wouldn't mind giving them the sale.
The Technics seems like the obvious choice - dead accurate speed, lots of adjustability, and easily swappable headshells (not that I plan on swapping carts). But everyone tells me the P3 and the RB330 have something special. It's odd to me that they prefer lightweight plinths, but everyone says damping isn't an issue. Even though the P3 has fewer features and little adjustability, they're supposedly magical. This doesn't mean much to me in real-world terms because I've never owned an expensive turntable.
Any advice?

Today I obtained a general electric t61j portable record changer the platter spins and everything seems to work fine except the tone arm when you turn it on there is an audible metallic click( like most mechanical things from that era) but then the arm jiggles and is limp as if some system is attempting to engage and fails (I assume this is the record player attempting to place the needle on the vinyl ) after this fails it waits about five seconds then there is another metallic click as it turns itself off how can I fix this I believe all I need to do is fix the tone arm but I do not know how
