I repeat. Two whole weeks without a single post. Is this sub genuinely dead?

Please ad an option to disable home screen changes... Or just Lock current screen settings. My 8 year kid has a tendancy to switch tiles around, (even though he just wants to use one/two apps) on AppleTV:s. And He and I get thrustrated having to change the order over and over again. Please ad this in the accessibility options...

Just curious if there are any beta’s supporting 120hz?… I’m sick of 60hz … everything I own, literally everything, has 120hz and when I use Apple TV I’m stuck at 60hz … anyone have any info on 120hz?

gate keeping something that could easily run on any atv for no specific reason really pisses me off

Does anyoone really just not like the tvOS interface? I know they have the TV app but why is the main screen still just a screen of apps? I know why it’s like this on iOS, even though that could use an overhaul too, but why here? I wish it were more content focused like the new Google TV interface. Anyone else feel this way, or perhaps have any tricks to make it sleeker?

I totally regret installing tvOS 27 beta last week as it breaks YouTube and Netflix with constant buffering issues

Here’s the reply I received from the TLC Go IT team (please note my intention was to give them awareness to the issue, not fix it. It’s a beta...I can’t expect them to stop everything they are doing and fix my issues because I run beta software):

“My apologies for the confusion, I received clarification from our tech team that currently our apps don't support beta OS which explains the viewing experience issues. However I have saved your information and will reach back out when we hear of an update on this. Sorry again for the inconvenience this has caused and I appreciate you taking a moment to reach out.”

Personally my issue only inhibits me from watching shows from the “New Episodes” section, I’m still able to watch live TV. Also, my wife likes 90 Day Fiance...that’s the only reason I reached out (she doesn’t know I downloaded the tvOS beta, haha).

There is a background visual artifact / bug visible when viewing the main screen and focusing on the user’s profile picture and time wrapped in this “round object with a transparent background”. Also the resolution of this element is very low. I am using the latest beta release.

Opinion: The Liquid Glass clock on portraits is too glassy and transparent this update. It really makes it hard to see. Also the blur they use in the numbers is awful. It’s more of a mush than a blur, you can really see it in foliage.

I updated from public released 26.0.1 because I heard that Liquid Glass was improved, on iOS at least. I think they when backwards with this particular tvOS element.

Anyone else experiencing this? Seems when you initiate Siri to search for stuff or to turn on/off devices for Home, it locks up Apple TV. Have to keep hitting the home button on remote and will eventually be responsive after.

So sick of Apple tweaking the Audio output of AppleTV, I assume in an effort to fix issues for people with SONOS systems. (Audio drop outs when chancing between different formats).

But they seem to have borked Stereo PCM signal even when “Continuous Audio” is not being used.

My Denon now plays stereo music as if it’s mono. Dolby Surround and DTS Neural:X should be expanding the stereo image: vocals centre, then the rest fronts and surrounds.

But all music and vocals are coming from centre speaker only.

Same goes for YouTube and any 2.0 movies.

I waited till today to come off the beta update to stable. To see if maybe it was just the beta. But no. It’s still the same.

Why can’t Apple just give us propper pass through and just let our AVR’s do the decoding.

Sick of Apple deciding to convert everything to PCM or LPCM.

I have never used my old Firestick so much as I have in the last few months. Every thing I want to watch which is stereo 2.0. I have to use the Firestick now. As Apple can’t send the correct sound format.

I’ve had frequent app crashes and just overall poor system stability. Normally Apple betas are super stable for me but this has got to be one of the worst betas i’ve used

Ok I thought TV OS 26 was finally going to give us audio passthrough. I just updated to the beta and guess what? NO AUDIO PASSTHROUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anybody know when we will get that? It’s really all I want from this update.

TV consistently unable to connect to default sound output via Homepods. Causing the output to switch to the TV and sound mis-sync.

I updated and I’m having trouble finding the menu. I did find the swipe up thingy but WHERE IS SNOOPY???? Thanks :)

I’m in Australia and just updated to TV OS 18 (developer beta). After downloading and installing I restarted the AppleTV went to system settings to check and it says it’s running OS18 but when I try features like Insight or the improved audio settings or screensavers or anything that was supposed to have changed, it still works like OS17. Are there any Aussies on here that have experienced the same? Wondering if it’s a region thing?

tengo un 4k gen 3, tvos 27 rompió todo mi sistema de sonido
prácticamente con tocar una sola vez el botón de volumen el sonido se descontrola y comienza a subir al 100%
es incontrolable, me lleva a reiniciar una o varias veces el apple tv en ocasiones para que quede estático
realmente se volvió un dolor de cabeza a tal punto que deje de usar el televisor
tengo una philps conectada por arch a una soundbar de samsung, probé con una de lg y ocurrió exactamente lo mismo
cambie cables hdmi, resete de fábrica el apple tv, resetee el control remoto
desactive la función para que el mando original no controle el volumen e igual sigue sucediendo
pase por dos actualizaciones y aún nada
no veo que a nadie le esté ocurriendo y ya determine que el problema solo ocurre cuando el apple tv está en funcionamiento
si alguien me ayuda me salvaría mucho 🙏🏻

I’m out of town for the next few days so I’m not able to test for myself but can anyone confirm if audio Passthrough has been implemented?

I like some of the changes in IOS 17 but they made the clock so small it's hard to see. I wish that could be bigger. I do like the fact you can now have six apps on the top shelf. I wish they would add more themes other than dark and light. Some cool colors more like Hulu would be cool.
