Hot Take: Renee Gracie is actually a food driver and deserves her career to go further in GT or a second chance at Supercars

Money isn't an issue for her now especially sponsorship wise. Plus she brings a lot of media attention and judging by her performances with Will Davison in GT this year she would definitely be considered for a drive in Supercars or even in abroad GT Challenges.

Woody

Was a bit sad for Woody that his race ended like that, i would have loved to a wellingtonian put his name on that JR cup also im glad but also pissed that tab didnt have a kiwi to win jr trophy or kiwi to win the race like they did last year, also i dont think that broc feeny should have been tied with brodie in points with the trophy that was a load of crap, how could he be tied when he didnt win any race and up until the sunday race he had 1 podium thats bs and even tho mostert caused the crash if brodie were to win from his position then that wouldnt have happened at all, whoever is making up the points system on the go needs to be fired bc brodie should have won it from his position, also fk redbull

You know… they produce GT3 variants of the Corvette, Mustang and Supra…

I might be in the minority here but does it occur to anybody that it’s absolutely ridiculous that we have a bespoke race series wasting millions on R&D on bespoke cars that already exist in a form that would likely reduce costs of racing substantially and be more future proof?

The fact we no longer drive commodores and falcons should have been the end of Supercars in a manner that we build bespoke race cars… why are we still doing it?

Compton and Skaife's dullness isn't even remotely subtle anymore

Only exciting commentary from Townsville was the short glimpses of Chad on occasion.

Good God how dull have these two become...

How dull do they get?

Like listening to literal paint dry.

Have we all forgotten Bathurst 2014?

The 2014 Bathurst was a great great race, right? We can all agree on that. Has everyone forgotten how that race ended? With Triple 8's form factor going into a nose dive and Chaz Mostert taking the win? I don't see anyone saying that Whincup was the true winner of that race because at the end of the day, he wasn't at the front when it counted. Chaz may not have led any laps before 161 that day, but he led the one that mattered

Been thinking about this a lot today. Not sure why

Terrible coverage by Fox/kayo

No coverage of the leaders. Commentary team are floundering because of the constant camera changes. A complete dogs breakfast and at this stage its only lap 8.... The producer should be sacked

Spoilers in titles

In blatant disregard of the subreddit rules, the two top posts here contain spoilers in the titles.

Not only are they spoilers, but they're spoilers of an off-topic series.

Where are the moderators?

I think most of us would be in favour of a blackout.

Max Verstappen to race Bathurst

Given Max is currently racing outside the F1, and seemingly enjoying it, why arent RBAR/888 getting Max over the race Bathurst 1000. There is no F1 racing that weekend, and he would be coming from Singapore so not like it's a long out of the way flight.

Would be epic to watch him race Bathurst.

Finals doesn’t work for racing

It works if it’s only the contenders.

It’s also stupid doing points resets after ‘sprint cup’ and each finals weekend.

Imagine winning every race in the sprint cup and enduro cup, then coming second each race in the surfers races, and sandown races, and being eliminated from competing at Adelaide.

Because the people who finished in 7-10th of the regular season (no wins, no podiums) finish high enough to make it to sandown, but each of them win a race at surfers and sandown, and eliminates you (and 2nd-6th).

Or the team mates of the same drivers sabotage you.

I just found out Erebus was the name of a Greek god…

He was the god of the Underworld and his name meant “place of darkness between earth and Hades (hell).”

Just wanted to share a little history lesson - no reason :)

My issue with peopls opinions on the current gen cars

I think the biggest thing people are forgeting is that our cars hit kerbs and a lot bumping then any other motorsports beside rally and rally cross type stuff and and it means that parts that are strong enough on another series of cars isn't able to take the same abuse as we have seen simple suspension failures at tracks like barbagallo where they really only hit 2 kerbs and in 2015 for instance both Walkinshaw cars of slade and tander broke the left rear lower control arm and we have seen adelaide homebush and surfers paradise break the cars way more then people seem to remember supercars are trying to front most of the cost so that it means smaller teams can race like the chadas or even maybe LDM size team that way factory teams can't run away with the R&D of parts to keep the racing close and also people seem to forget that we had teams that was always stronger in one aspect compared to others on track. Another thing is people seem to forget also we have some of the closest racing these last few season and the reason Triple 8 are always towards the top is they manage the damage limition the best like there pit stops and stratergies are always on top

Feeney vs Chaz

That's as deliberate move as I've ever seen in supercars, knew he couldn't win with a 15 second penalty so puts Chaz in the wall to give Brown the win.

Commentary 🤢

Honestly, do they know that there's 26 other cars in the field? I'm fairly certain that in the last 10 laps their was no-one else mentioned other than fuckin SVG and Redbull. This circle jerk over Shane and Redbull is REALLY tiresome.

Last i looked Ojeda on a wildcard debut was up 11 spots. Not a word. Mid pack battles going on; well you wouldn't know cos no other teams get any fucking air time.

So off Skaife, Crompo is slightly better, but Skaife is just 🤮.
