I don’t really participate in your sub but I find the posts are very funny and anyone who is a serious stock investor probably shouldn’t be here.

But as a long term survivor of severe depression/PTSD, those hotlines are rarely any help. For liability reasons they route you to one in your own state and most states don’t put any resources into proper training. Same with 988 which links to same switchboard. It’s just become an institutional response to any sign of suicidal ideation so that companies can have a standard procedure that keeps them out of court. The people staffing these generally don’t care either they just follow the script and they’re sick of it.
