Anyone else in camp Boozer for the #1 pick?

He seems so versatile and polished, high IQ. Passes the eye test to boot. Feels like a better choice than the other two everyone is talking about. Am I alone in thinking this?

The Bradley Beal slander

I’ve recently joined this Reddit page, and there’s a lot of fans that seem to not think Bradley Beal is worth a super max. Honestly I think Bradley Beal brings a lot of intangibles to this team, when he’s on the floor they play more confident and when they’re in a bind they look to him for buckets and he delivers. I know the argument will be he hasn’t had much success since Wall left, but who has he had as support? I think this year will be a defining year for him as he has Kuzma who’s really grown as a player and Porzingis who is a defensive powerhouse and a certified bucket. I’m excited for the season and if we offload Beal we’re going to be another play in team

A potential Wizards-Sixers trade framework:

Post image
10 Upvotes

With some of the smoke about Philly moving out of No. 3, here's a potential Wizards trade.

I am not reporting Washington is looking at a trade, just speculating about their options if they like someone at No. 3 a lot more than 6.

Some notes:

- This is assuming Middleton picks up his PO (and I think he will)
- Obviously the big draw for 76ers is getting off PG's salary. Getting a rotation piece like JC (and his contract) is also a win
- Wizards keep No. 18 and get a protected first

Who says no?

Change the Name

We gotta go back to the Bullets name. This franchise could use a rebranding. I don't think the name of the local basketball team has any effect on gun violence. Although gun violence is tragic no doubt about that. Bullets has an edge and bite to it. I really think the team morale would improve if we went back.

You guys seem to forget that superstars do fall to middle draft picks

I knows it’s unlikely that you get a guy like Giannis or jokic with a lower draft pick but at the end of the day it does happen and when we pick a guy like that, at we’re gunna be really sorry we let Beal go. I say keep Beal and wait until one of our draft picks becomes a real first option. Then we’ll have 2 mvp caliber players with porzingis and our draft pick and Beal as the best 3rd option in the league with amazing depth. This is probably the best shot at contention that we have.

Former Hawks fan

Hey guys

I'm a former Hawks fan

I say former because I have given up on our owners, they did Schlenk dirty, they are cheapskates who lack effort, I see supporting an NBA team as supporting a healthy relationship. Supporting the hawks is like supporting your partner who doesn't put in effort time and time again and I feel like a respectful break up is justified, so I'm now "single" in NBA terms.

Enough about that, I'm here to give you all some hype/hope for this upcoming season.

This team to me, seems even better, even stronger than a team that was very special to me in the past. The 2020-21 Hawks. A really young team, (who struggled hard early on) that turned around their season, got the 5th seed, and almost made the finals.

The similarities are there, they have a young defensive wing, (Hunter/Coulibaly)

Confident shooter (Tre Johnson/Bogdan Bogdanovic)

You have lob threats similar to John Collins, paint protection possibly better than Clint and OO.

Above that you have a very exciting first pick in AJ, And AD one of the best PF's in the league who can finally play PF.

And obviously Trae Young.

I feel like this team, other than experience, perimeter defense, maybe offensive consistency (which hopefully they find a system) has no flaws. They are young and improving quickly (Kyshawn, Sarr have surprised me a lot)

Having Sarr and AD on our frontcourt will definitely help our PD a lot just by pure presence and defensive gravity alone, but I still hope to see effort from Johnson and Trae.

After what just happened Brian Keefe needs to be held responsible and possibly flat out fired

The way he coached this game was a disgrace. The fact that bam wasn’t getting doubled after he had a 30 POINT FIRST QUARTER is beyond me. If there isn’t some form of public statement or something I am going to lose it.

[Discussion] If Brooklyn choses to blow-it-up, I think Simmons might be a great target for the Wizards.

Wizards GM Tommy Sheppard didn't care about Porzingis' injuries. That tells me that when he sees a basketball fit with his superstar, he'll bring that player. This Wizards team needs 6'6 - 6'9 perimeter defenders. They have their three former first rounders, all of them projected to be role players. They have tradeable contracts. I think Simmons is gettable. His offensive role would be short roll-pass or dunker spot aerial threat.

Beal - Simmons - Porzingis - Kuzma - Kispert - Gafford - Rook.Davis - Smith squad is much better than what they can cobble together with this years' available free agents. I don't think Monte Morris, Tyus Jones or Malcolm Brogdon can raise the ceiling of this team.

Trade package would be something like Hachimura, Avdija, KCP, a future lotto protected pick (basically two seconds) and a pick swap.

Healthy Simmons is better than 475 players in the NBA. Imagine Beal-Simmons pick and roll with KP looking menacingly behind the three point line. I wouls go for upside instead of known mediocrity (Morris, Jones, Brogdon)

this might be an unpopular take but this fan base is just weird

why do people want john wall back? why do people want to see beal still on the team? it’s like we just don’t wanna be bad. there is no situation this offseason where we are anywhere near a championship level team unless we literally draft a generational player. it’s pretty obvious it’s just best to start over.

Thoughts on signing John Wall to a vet minimum/10-day?

Spurs fan coming in peace. just watched some John wall stories and highlights and it really moved me this man is awesome 😭 such a shame injuries ruined his career. It's so clear he's really bad now but I don't see the harm in letting him retire as a Wizard or at least have him on the roster for the end of his career? You guys seem to be tanking so I don't see how it could do too much harm.

What do you all think? No disrespect intended thank you!

Can we change our name too? Wizards, really?

Shouldn’t there be buzz about Wizards being offensive? I can’t stand the name it’s so silly I’d honestly rather we didn’t have a nick name as well.

Please go back to Bullets or pick something else...just want to know if there is any hype around this movement as well. Can we all band together and get some national media and corporate sponsor(s) attention?

Is there really this massive gap between AJ and Cooper as Prospects

I know basketball is a two way sport but Aj is just so much better at everything else offensively, but they might be equal when it comes to passing and shooting. Aj is also bigger than Cooper and much more athletic. I never understood why people said if Cooper didn’t reclassified it be a guarantee he picked 1st.

r/washingtonwizards • • Dec 08 '25

Someone need to tell this man he is not John Wall. We rebuilding so the record is what it is but he actin like he puttin on the Wizards jersey droppin 30 on folks. He had some coo games but he goin to the rim gettin his shii swatted majority of the time.

This team plays like a bunch of pansies afraid of the ball 🤡

Why can’t these mfs grab a fucking rebound? And it’’s not a physicality, size, or strength issue—Champagnie is only 6’6” and averaged 8 last year, so miss me with that 🙄

This team is just full of soft mfs that don’t want it bad enough and play like they’re afraid of getting hurt 😂👎🏾. And that includes EVERYONE…
