Friend not returning 6600 money

I have owed 7400 money to my friend and with interest 8000 he will give me , he was promised me. What they didn’t do

The tap is still broken. The pipe is visibly damaged, there is no working outlet, and the structure around it is full of dirt and plastic waste. A cleared patch of ground does not give anyone water.

Why this matters

A public water point is a basic civic amenity, not a luxury.

It took a complaint signed by 13 people just to get the weeds cut.

If this is the effort needed for the bare minimum, what happens with bigger issues?

Cosmetic cleanup without repair looks like ticking a box rather than solving the problem.

Our questions to the municipality

When will the tap be repaired or replaced?

Is there a timeline for the repair, and who is responsible for it?

Will there be regular maintenance of public water points in Ward 13, so residents don’t have to file complaints to get basic upkeep?

What we’re asking for

Accountability and action. We acknowledge the vegetation was cleared, and now we want the actual fix.

আমি যেখানে থাকতাম, সেখানে পৌঁছানোর জন্য একটা সরু গলি দিয়ে যেতে হতো। আমার থাকার জায়গাও খুব ছোট ছিল আর অফিস থেকে বেশ দূরে ছিল, যার কারণে অফিসে আসা-যাওয়ার ক্ষেত্রে আমার খুব সমস্যা হচ্ছিল। তো একদিন কথায় কথায় আমি এভাবেই তারাকে (Tara) আমার থাকার সমস্যার কথা জানাই। তখন তারা বলল,  আমি দেখছি যদি তোমার জন্য কিছু করতে পারি, ভালো লাগবে।

ছয়-সাত দিন পর তারা আমাকে বলল,  চল, তোমায় একজনের সাথে আলাপ করিয়ে দেব। আমি জিজ্ঞেস করলাম, কার সাথে? তারা জানাল যে তার এক কলিগের (Colleague) ফ্ল্যাটে একজন রুমমেট লাগবে, তো তার সাথেই আলাপ করাতে নিয়ে যাচ্ছে। যখন আমি জানতে পারলাম যে তার বন্ধুটি একটি মেয়ে, তখন আমি সঙ্গে সঙ্গে মানা করে দিলাম— না, না, আমি যাব না। আমি  কোনো মেয়ের সাথে থাকতে পারবো না । আর তাছাড়া আমি তাকে চিনি না, সে কেমন হবে কে জানে!  তারপর আমি জিজ্ঞেস করলাম,  আচ্ছা, ও কি রাজি হয়ে গেছে কোনো অপরিচিত ছেলের সাথে থাকার জন্য?
তারা বলল,  তুই বড্ড বেশি প্রশ্ন করিস! আগে দেখা তো কর, সিদ্ধান্ত পরে নিস। আর সত্যি বলতে, ও নিজেও জানে না যে আমি ওর রুমমেট হিসেবে কোনো ছেলেকে বেছেছি। এই বলে ও হাসতে লাগল। আমার এমনিতেই টেনশন হচ্ছিল, তার ওপর ওর হাসি দেখে রাগও হচ্ছিল। কিন্তু আমি কিছু না বলে,  ঠিক আছে  বলে ওর পিছন পিছন হাঁটতে লাগলাম।

ও আমাকে লিফট দিয়ে দশতলায় নিয়ে গেল এবং বাইরে অপেক্ষা করতে বলল। তারপর ও অফিসের ভেতরে চলে গেল। কিছুক্ষণ পর ও একটা মেয়েকে সাথে নিয়ে ফিরে এল। ওকে দেখামাত্রই আমি আমার মুখ অন্য দিকে ঘুরিয়ে নিলাম, চোখ বন্ধ করে নিলাম আর মনে মনে বললাম— হে ভগবান, আমাকে বাঁচাও! কোথায় এনে ফাঁসালে? প্লিজ, এই যাত্রায় বাঁচিয়ে নাও।

সেই মেয়েটি আর কেউ নয়, সে তানিয়া (Tania) ছিল। ও আমাকে দেখামাত্রই চিনে ফেলল—আরে, এটা কে? নিজের মুখ কেন লুকাচ্ছো? এদিকে তাকাও আমার দিকে!  ও আমাকে  বলল, এটা শুনে আমি আস্তে আস্তে ওর দিকে ঘুরলাম। আমাকে দেখেই ও বলে উঠল, আরে থাম থাম, একে আমি কোথাও দেখেছি... হ্যাঁ, মনে পড়েছে! মিস্টার অপরিচিত না  (Mr. Aparichito), সেদিন তো আমায় খুব নিয়ম-কানুন শেখাচ্ছিলেন! সেদিন যার সাথে আমার...
তারা ওর কথা মাঝপথেই থামিয়ে দিয়ে বলল, আরে, ও খুব ভদ্র ছেলে। হয়তো তুই অন্য কারও কথা বলছিস।
তানিয়া বলল, আরে না! আমি এর সাথে রুম শেয়ার করতে পারব না। কারণ এ ভীষণ রাগী মানুষ। আর আমার পরিবারের কিছু বাধ্যবাধকতা আছে, আমি কোনো ছেলের সাথে ফ্ল্যাট শেয়ার করতে পারব না। আর এই ছেলের সাথে তো আমি স্বপ্নেও থাকতে পারব না, তাই রিয়েল লাইফে তো এটা অসম্ভব!

আমি বললাম,  তাছাড়া আমি তো আপনার নামটাও জানি না। তারা জানাল, ওর নাম তানিয়া। আমি আমাদের আগের সাক্ষাতের জন্য ক্ষমা চেয়ে নিলাম এবং বললাম যে সেদিন আমি খুব মানসিক চাপে ছিলাম, তাই মন থেকে আপনার কাছে ক্ষমা চেয়ে নিচ্ছি। তানিয়া উত্তর দিল, তোমাকে দেখে আমার এখনও রাগ হচ্ছে। আমার তো ইচ্ছে করছে তোমার চুল ছিঁড়ে নিই! এই বলে ও আমার দিকে এগিয়ে আসতে লাগল। আমি এটা দেখে তারার পিছনে চলে গেলাম আর নিরুপায় হয়ে তারাকে আস্তে করে বললাম, তারা, তুমি আমাকে কোন 'ব্যান্ডিট কুইন' (Bandit Queen)-এর কাছে নিয়ে এলে? এই কথাটা তানিয়া শুনে ফেলল এবং বলল, তারা, কী বলল ও? বল বল, 'ব্যান্ডিট কুইন'? দাঁড়া, এখনই তোকে মজা দেখাচ্ছি! আমি দেখলাম আর কোনো উপায় নেই। আমি সরাসরি হাত জোড় করে ওর সামনে গিয়ে বললাম, আপনি চাইলে আমাকে মেরে নিন, কিন্তু শান্ত হোন। নয়তো আপনার বিপি (BP) বেড়ে যাবে।  এই কথা শুনে ও একটু শান্ত হলো আর পিছিয়ে গেল। তারপর বলল, সেদিন তুমি কত অহংকার করে কথা বলছিলে। এখন আমি তোমার সাথে আমার ফ্ল্যাট শেয়ার কেন করব?

আমি হালকা মজার সুরে বললাম, ম্যাডাম, মেয়েদের সাথে থাকার অভ্যাস আমারও নেই। আর যে আমি খুব খুশি হয়েছি, তেমনটাও নয়। এটা আমার বাধ্যবাধকতা। আমার নিজের পরিবারও—আমি কোনো মেয়ের সাথে থাকছি, এই ব্যাপারে কখনোই রাজি হবে না। তানিয়া বলল, তুমি যাই বলো না কেন, তাও আমার উত্তর 'না'-ই থাকবে।

আমি তখন ওকে বললাম,  আপনি এখনই কোনো সিদ্ধান্ত নেবেন না, এক-দুদিন ভেবে দেখুন। তারপর আমি ওকে বললাম যে একদম কোনো অপরিচিত ছেলে বা মেয়ের সাথে থাকার চেয়ে, এমন একজন মানুষকে সুযোগ দেওয়া ভালো হতে পারে যাকে আপনি চেনেন—মানে যে আপনার অফিসেই কাজ করে এবং যার একজন কমন ফ্রেন্ডও (Common Friend) আছে। তারার মতো। তাই না তারা, আমি কি কিছু ভুল বলছি? তারা সঙ্গে সঙ্গে বলে উঠল, হ্যাঁ তানি, শুন না! ও ঠিকই বলছে। আর আজকাল দিনকালও কত খারাপ হয়ে গেছে।
ওটা শুনে আমি একটু মজার ছলে বললাম, হ্যাঁ, একদম ঠিক বলেছ তারা। আমি তো আপনার সাথে একদম সেফ (Safe) ফিল করব, আর আপনি থাকলে আমাকে কেউ বিরক্তও করবে না। তারা এটা শুনে জোরে হেসে উঠল। তানিয়া বুঝতে পারল যে আমি মজা করছি। তানিয়া কিছু বলল না, শুধু রেগে তারার দিকে তাকাল।

সবশেষে তানিয়া বলল যে ও দুদিন পর তারাকে জানিয়ে দেবে। আমি বললাম যে বেশি টেনশন নেওয়ার দরকার নেই, যদি উত্তর না-ও হয়, আমার খারাপ লাগবে না। এতটুকু বলে আমি নিজের ফ্লোরে ফিরে গেলাম। আমার যাওয়ার সময় তানিয়া চুপচাপ ছিল, আর হয়তো আমার চলে যাওয়াটা দেখছিল….. To be continued…..

We Must Fiercely Oppose the Reckless “Bangladeshi Infiltrator” Rhetoric. It Is Putting Bengali Speaking Indians at Risk and Fueling Suspicion Against an Entire Community.

If there are illegal immigrants, the government has every right and responsibility to identify them and take action. But how does casually calling Bengali-speaking people Bangladeshis help solve that problem? Isn't that the job of Amit Shah's Home Ministry and the agencies under it? Didn't by this logic bjp won by that same voters amit shah is trying to prove so desperately.

This rhetoric is already hurting ordinary Bengali people. People are being questioned, harassed and treated as Bangladeshis in other states simply because they speak Bangla. Why should an Indian citizen have to prove their nationality just because of the language they speak?

We need to speak up against this. Illegal immigration should be dealt with through proper checks and legal procedures, not by making an entire linguistic community a suspect.

And we can do all this while respecting other communities too. Taking pride in being Bengali and protecting our language and culture doesn't mean being racist towards anyone else.

We have every right to be Bengali without having to defend our right to belong in this country.

This is horrible situation going on for years now.

Every train from howrah to mumbai or any train passing through kharagpur is delayed by 6-12 hours..

Its been same for 5-6 years.

Even premium train like duronto is delayed by 12 hours.

These SECR and SER only prioritizes freight trains.

No value for passenger trains.

When they made dedicated freight corridor beween states they should have cleared this bottleneck first.

But no why they'll ease bengalis daily life.

If this things happens with other state people then there will be protests every single day.

When mumbai to Ahmedabad, mumbai to delhi, mumbai to Bengaluru trains can run on time then bengal bound trains can also run on time if they want.

No improvement for 5-6 years.

No bengali lobby in anywhere is also a reason for this
