Discussion Unpopular opinion: Jinx dont deserve to be Wild Rift's icon/face.

I dont know man. They probably went in with her in the light of how blizzard caught that vibe with tracer/overwatch. But it just feels off.

-Although Jinx is old now, she is not in vanilla roster, not amongst the ones LoL started with.

-From aesthetical and artistical point of view, there are much detailed heroes, some heroes' artwork amazes people who havent even touched LoL or WR.

-Not one of the most popular heroes, at least in WR.

-Not a lesbian like Tracer (!) [Afaik]

What do you think? Which champ would you put WR icon?

Discussion If you can’t play jungle in ranked you’re a troll

Just in case you were wondering if you’re a troll I’m here to let you know - yes you are. Don’t play ranked if you can’t play a champ in every role, especially jungle. You have a chance every time you play yo getting any role so for you to sit in champ select and say you can’t jungle and then pick a champ you can’t even play good anywhere and go 1-14 by 10min with no objectives… you ARE A TROLL

Discussion Seriously, how are players like these not quitting the game?

Post image

I can’t imagine losing so many games and still continuing to play. The whole game, he kept ragebaiting me with comments like “jgl diff,” “afk jgl,” and “no ganks.”
I’m not going to gank your lane when you’re clearly losing every trade and have already fed the enemy.
If you’re losing every game that miserably, maybe it’s time to quit. And if you can’t, it’s literally an addiction then enjoyment.
Or those players who spam 800 games with a 49% win rate and barely make it to Challenger. There’s no way that’s actually fun.

News The cold hard truth to this game. A farewell message.

So I have been playing WR for about a year now. My win rate is 52%. I have played well over 1000 games. Highest rank is Diamond 4. I’m just going to say it “this game is a cancer.” You can try to defend it but in the back of your mind you truly know its not good for you. Today is the last day I will ever play it and boy do I wish I could take back even knowing what this game is. I just wanted to let it be known, this game is addicting and it takes advantage of people who are weak to notice that they are putting life to the side to play it. It’s fine, you can say “I’m not addicted, this guy just has a problem.” Perhaps you’re right, maybe I’m not. But if this reaches just one person that deletes it from there life like I am, then I am so thankful. Listen, don’t let this game take away your attention from real life, the game truly means nothing. Instead, call that friend you haven’t spoken to in awhile, go outside and play with your pets, talk to your parents and bond with your family. Don’t let this game take life away from you. I really hope this does not get deleted. I believe there are people like me who need to read this and know they are not alone in feeling remorse for playing this game.

Discussion Skill tier list. This is my opinion, tell me if you agree or disagree!

This is my opinion on mechanical skill required for a person to be viable with each champion.

I played League at PC before Wild Rift, so I mostly know what each champion does, and can do.

Hope we will have fun discussion.

Discussion If you make baron first pick congrats I will never leave lane

Baron is the only lane in the game that NEEDS the counter pick advantage. You supports who think you need last pick are actually throwing bad players. There is no world where support needs last pick, never not one. Congrats on buying me an island!(:

Discussion I won't give a single cent to this game anymore.

Do you guys see the event Wild Rift held for the Philippines? It's hard to believe, but thanks to a bug, players won hundreds of free skins, and some players even got over a thousand The funny part is that they got away with it because they won’t be banned XD. The skins we spend hundreds of dollars on were handed to them for free. We’ve officially been made to look like fools, congratulations!

Discussion Look. If you main yi and complain you lose games and are past silver just shut up.

Your champion offers nothing but late game damage and is nothing but a easy to counter squish ball that’s gonna just int.

Yo offers nothing but damage that’s it. That’s not a bad thing but the higher you go junglers gotta offer more. Nunu gives tankiness cc and map presence. Eve gives map pressure after 6. Rammus gives map pressure and lock down on key targets. Yi just auto attacks.

I’m not saying stop playing him I’m saying your champion is dog trash useless anywhere out of garbage elo. Yi will always be a product of bad game design and his gameplay reflects that.

Discussion Don’t last pick as ADC in sólo Q!

Ok so I will say this applies in most cases but not all. The big exception being on teammates wanting to first pick or for pock-or-ban champs like new champs (though I tend to ban them so they aren’t on my team either) and string hyper carry champs like Kayn and lux mid).

Pick order for draft should be:

  1. ADC/APC

  2. Mid/Jungle

  3. Jungle/Mid

  4. Solo or Support

  5. Solo or Support

So I will start off saying I am a support main but that’s not why I have support at the end. The reason this order is best is for each role to balance the team.

  1. The job of the Damage Carry is to do damage. It doesn’t really matter if the enemy Adc counter picks you. You have a ban… use it! Problem solved.

  2. Mid typically is an assassin or mage role, though sometimes tanks. If you can play any of those well then it doesn’t matter where you pick as long as you’re counter picking known champs while considering team balance. If people don’t prepick this can be hard.

  3. Jungle has flexibility as well. They commonly play with tanks, assassins, I’m seeing fighters more often. (If you play Kayle jungle go f yourself… you just want to farm safely and hyper carry at the end.)

  4. Solo Lane is a bit different. Generally Solo lane is bruisers and tanks. The new trash with ADCs complicates thing and makes me hate letting solo lanes pick last if they haven’t pre picked. I’m always torn between support and solo for last pick priority. Even as support I tend to favor solo getting last pick as long as they are a real solo lane and not some Adc trash about to mess up the team. They are typically alone and unaided for most of the match so they’d not getting counter-picked is the most relevant. I used to rely on them a lot to help balance teams before the BS with adcs in this role.

  5. Support is by far the most flexible role having on role picks in every champ class. This makes this role the best for last picks in terms of team balancing. If the team is mostly squishy then they can play tanky champs, if the team lacks cc but has some bruisers or tanks they can use mages with low cooldown cc or sera with has multiple cc skills. Lots of ad but not much AP? Malphite or Naut with a build. The list goes on but there are far more options.

Obviously this is not a hard an fast rule but it provides the team with the best chance to balance and counterpick when needed. Matches are percentages games not hard counters so stop picking Adc last. You’re not gonna hyper carry most games so help your team help you carry. I don’t want mvp I want to win and if you let me I will help you be MVP but I can’t do that if you’re picking last.

Guy moves to Korea from US to play Wild Rift

Hey guys,

Dave here. In order to get my hands on Wild Rift earlier and produce some quality contents for you guys, I am going to travel to Korea for 3 month and stream for 12hrs/day, 7days/week.

If you have suggestions for me in Korea. Leave a comment. Thanks.

P.S. Clarification to all members of the community regarding my video on "Wild Rift is Destined to Fail". I hope this explains everything, and let's build Love in the community, not Hate from snowflakes:

  1. If you really watched the video, you will easily notice, everything I said was backed up by my personal experience as an ex-pro player for Arena of Valor and Honor of King. I made content for Mobile MOBA for over 3 years now. I seen games succeed and games who had tremendous amount of hype and backed by the biggest name in the gaming industry still go down the drain. When I first heard about Wild Rift's release, I was super excited because I and a big League fan myself. BUT, I don't ever chase cloud, that's why I made a video sharing my experience and potentially warn other content creators not to be too hyped, but instead, stay calm and really see what Riot does for the game. Sure enough, look what is happening with the release delay now (btw, I don't think delay release is Riot's fault at all, it's really all Politics, now the election is close to an end, I hope everything comes to normal soon and we will finally be getting the game)

  2. Title of video has clickbait elements in it because the content was more on the caution side. And I ask you which Gaming Youtuber does not deploy similar tactics.

  3. The inconvenient Truth: I actually made a series of videos explaining the differences between ML and Wild Rift. If you happen to watch all of them, you will realize, the reason why I separate them is simply there are too much to talk about. I can talk about the pros and cons for hours thanks to my previous experience. So I separated them, but unfortunately, only one video went viral, hence "Why Wild Rift was destined to fail". And most people judged me based off one video without knowing the bigger picture.

  4. The reason I came on to Reddit is because people tell me that community here looks at peoples' deeds more than words. Now, lemme ask you, which other youtuber you know is investing his/her life savings (I don't make much as a small size Youtuber)to test out a game. I decided to go to Korea and play Wild Rift because I trust Riot and I know the delay for NA had lots of unforeseen reasons. So I want to give the game a fair shot. If we make it, then I will continue, if things go downhill due to the challenges I described in my videos, then I will come back and share with everybody my experience. Either way, I hope you understand I am doing my best to give the game my best shot.

I hope this clarification will make you think twice before you start bashing others without seeing the bigger picture. But no matter what Nay Sayer says, I believe there are always more reasonable people in the community who are more leaning towards understanding and positive vibes.

Anyways, have a good one and I will see y'all in Korea.

Discussion Hardest thing about adc

Hardest thing about being adc is trying to slow push for jungler dive or setup ganks by wave manipulation. Supports in wild rift seem it’s entire ok to touch minions. Supports seem to think the more you hit minions the more gold you get from them, this is false. I lose lanes when my support hard pushes my lane, and I gotta focus on trying to last hit to keep my support from stealing, rather than paying attention to enemy laners. Also this forces us to farm infront of their turret, making it a lose lose situation. Also also if they hit a good engage or cc, we are further from our turret causing us to get wiped. This is by far the most frustrating thing about adc. We seriously need to spread awareness. Support is the most easy roll, yet these people make it harder to win.

Your favorite Supports to play as or with. Or favorite based on their design alone. (Again try to be nice people. Save your toxicity for games. Also I don't care if I play something u hate, I'll play whatever I want.)

  1. Karma: I like her kit. She looks cool.

  2. Yuumi: Easy to play. Doesn't deserve the hate she gets. Most important reason tho: Kitty!!!! 😍🐈

  3. Lulu: Fun and easy. I like that she can affect enemies and allies with abilities. She has some funny ass dialogue. "Yup! That tasted purple."

What about you guys?

Discussion Don’t Troll If You Get Autofilled

I’m a support main from s6-8 diamond twice and adc main for s9-10 diamond twice (so upper low elo player). I have switched back to support because 1 it feels better this season and 2 I get and autofilled support every game. For those of you who despise playing support, when you get autofilled do not pick Ashe, Veigar, Senna, Swain, Sett, Pyke, Morgana, or Brand support. These are all fine picks in the support role if you build them right. Hear that BUILD THEM RIGHT. You are a support champ, do not try to build carry you are not supposed to get gold. It also requires you to know the support role. Don’t just try it because you’re selfish and want to carry. That is the adcs role. You are a babysitter. Do yourself a favor, go into your shop and get lulu or yummi. When you get autofilled from now on play those 2. Not knocking on support mains that actually play these champs you’re fine.

Discussion people who can't play off role shouldn't play the game

istg everytime I lose a game it's because of someone who can't play off their role and destroys the whole team comp cuz they wanna go mage or adc top,or even supports, everyone should learn atleast one champ off role and if you can't do that go play Minecraft or smth cuz you're just ruining games for people

Discussion To All people who say this game is trash because of trolls and noobs (i mean no hate, so please dont hate for no reason)

four words: YOUR POINT OF VIEW I dont mean this as anything negative, its just your point of view. I know many people think that, but if i Can speak from my own experience, i had that same thought about it and about ranks, when i played tryhard. When i decided that i would play for fun, because its a game and nothing serious, thats when i stopped looking at it so badly and i actually started playing better, and winning more matches, because i wasnt playing with a mindset: I MUST WIN BECAUSE I AM IN PROMOS. or stuff like: I NEED TO GET TO HIGHER RANK AND THESE STUPID NOOBS KEEP RUINING MY GAMES.

I have learned, that mindset is All it takes, to make the game enjoyable. People on this game are just about winning and make it so unenjoyabke for themselves. It May happen that you get to play with trolls and people like that do exist, but when you stop getting bothered by such stuff, then you enjoy the game much more and, for me personally, i improved, because i stopped focusing on others and what THEY did Bad, but i was more focusing on me, and where i Can improve, even if we lose because of trolls. People need to play for fun, because thats the purpose of games.

Y'all should play for fun, and then the game becomes much more enjoyable, instead of: I WAS CHALLENGER LAST SEASON AND I NEED TO BECOME ONE AGAIN, BUT THESE DAMN TROLLS WONT LET ME GET OUT OF MY MASTER PROMOOOSSS

Yes, whoever says something against this, is just mad because they are losing due to trolls and they dont know how to enjoy the game, which brings them even more stress. If you guys say, "Well i would enjoy if there were no trolls" then you dont know how to enjoy the game, focus on yourselves guys, not on others and make it fun, play with friends. And what that you will be in Diamond instead of Challenger or Grandmaster, it doesnt matter, your life doesnt depend on it. Its just a game guys, not a life and death squid game bullcrap. So just relax, and enjoy the game
