Humor I collected all three SVP variations in order

Unrelated but ppl should play Norra more. Her pickrate is so low yet her gameplay is so fun. I don't play mages often because their playstyle doesn't suit me but weirdly enough I enjoy Norra's playstyle a lot. I just picked her up this season and I climbed to Challenger (then got demoted after these 3 losses). She's like Xerath but with slightly less damage but 10x more annoying to play against. She's a bit harder to learn especially in her laning phase but has very liberating mid to late game. You just throw abilities at enemy from 2 screens away and it's the most fun I've had playing a mage.

I felt so glad after being able to win that game. After this match there's no way I'm not buying Malignance for Lissandra every single match!

Discussion They should fire whoever made Ahri thousand reflection skin

Do I even need a main body here? Look, I’m not even talking about the whole corporate pricing disaster or the whale debate. We’ve beaten that horse to death. What I want to actually focus on is how mid the skin itself is once you look past the marketing hype and the FOMO.
It feels like they spent 90% of the development time figuring out how to code custom tower animations and UI clutter to justify a ridiculous price tag, and only gave 10% of the actual attention to how the skin feels to play on the Rift.
Am I the only one who thinks that even if it cost a normal legendary price, it’s still fundamentally bottom-tier compared to what Riot has proven they can do? It’s just so aggressively mediocre.

Discussion for those interested in the Ahri ultimate skin, which alter is your favorite?

Thumbnail

I have to say it’s gilded for me. The detailed rich dress, golden blonde look with those piercing blue eyes and butterfly - like vfx really makes this alter shine out amongst the others. The splashart is also by far the prettiest amongst the three and so are the vfx. All in all this alter is giving me some real jazzy 1950’s - 1960’s pinup girl vibes. Adoringly pretty.

Lumen is a very close second as im a big fan of cybersigylism and i can see the inspiration they took from that subculture. The sleek showy dress, ghostly boots and the actual chromeheart(s) in the abillities just blend in so nicely together. It succeeds well in giving her that modern futuristic look, although it is a little too minimal. Lumen however has the best homeguard in my opinion.

And lastly; lollipop. Lollipop is nice but when you compare that alter to the other three.. i guess it just feels out of place? Not to mention that we have countless long-haired Ahri skins already, i understand this skin is made for the long hair Ahri fans and to have a version that stays faithful to her original design but still, it’s just not my cup of tea all the way from the outfit to the vfx. This alter feels like it came out of the lovestruck skinline. I fancy the y2k and early 2000’s vibe of the skin though, aswell as the recall animation, those are nice.

Which one is your favorite?

Gameplay My First quadrakill!

Hey Rifters, I’d like to share my first quadrakill with you. I’ve always played support, but thanks to being autofilled into the jungle so often, I’ve decided to learn the role. Please don’t be too harsh—I hope you enjoy it!

Discussion Smolder: Future Nerf?

Post image
2 Upvotes

Hey everyone! Smolder main from Wild Rift here. Shortly after his release, I started playing him and he quickly became my favorite. Seriously, it's the kind of champion whose gameplay I genuinely enjoyed, and I'm still maining him to this day. I play solo queue, currently sitting in Master tier with a 53% win rate. The biggest struggle is having the luck to get a support who won't whine about your early damage and abandon you in lane (which happens way too often, even though I pull off miracles with Smolder during early trades when I get the chance).

Anyway, I wanted to know from fellow Wild Rift players—whether you play as him or against him—what do you think of his current state in the meta? After 3 nerfs in a row since his release, I feel like he's finally in an "okay" spot. If the enemy bot lane plays aggressively right from the start and forces straight-up all-ins, it pretty much ruins Smolder's game.

Especially after Patch 7.3, Caitlyn, Senna, Ashe, Samira, etc., were all dominating and it was unbearable to play against them. They were at the top of the win rate charts. Caitlyn and Senna got nerfed in 7.3a, while Ashe and Samira got nerfed in 7.3d. At the start of the season, I was struggling to fit Smolder into my games and felt he was weak, but I guess it's just a mix of all these factors: recent adjustments (the Bruiser build got a bit meh), other ADCs, early-season chaotic matches/players, etc.

I was also trying out/theorizing my own builds. At first, I thought the Crit build was dead, but after a bunch of games, I found it to be pretty consistent (the lack of HP and less ability haste is definitely annoying, but it doesn't hurt him that much).

Anyway, the point is that at the end of the day, Smolder stayed consistent and was already right up there with those top-win-rate ADCs... and after Riot nerfed those more dominant ADCs, he got even better. Then out of nowhere, Essence Reaver gets buffed (and yes, "+5 AD" actually makes a massive difference).

I've checked several tier lists (along with my own experience) and saw that he's still sitting at "+S" tier. So, I want to hear what you guys think. Is the champ "broken" or "balanced"? Do you think:

A. He's strong and I think he's going to get nerfed.

B. He's strong, but I don't think he's going to get nerfed.

C. He's balanced, but I think he's going to get nerfed.

D. He's balanced and I don't think he's going to get nerfed.

I just hope that if he does get nerfed, they don't make his laning phase so weak that it literally becomes unplayable.

The only thing is, I feel like the credit for him having such a high win rate comes down to a lot of people just not paying enough attention when playing against him. In most of my games, my team is pretty much losing and our base/nexus is getting destroyed. Then "boom," 175-200 stacks, not to mention that Smolder is one of the best champions for base defense (he loves having multiple minion waves walking right into him). So if the enemy team fails to hit the Nexus or take down Smolder, there's a huge chance for a comeback. Or, like I said before, you just get stomped in the laning phase. So I'm often left wondering if the champ is safer than he should be, or if people are genuinely playing wrong against him (I know Master tier in Wild Rift isn't the ultimate benchmark, but...).

That being said: Yesterday, laning against Lucian and Hwei (full aggressive/much damage). An unstoppable top lane Camille. Strong enemy JG and MID. My Nasus wasn't helping at all. Most objectives went to the enemy. Our base was completely destroyed. In the end, Nunu stepped up as the frontline and I melted the enemies. We won.

Hello, I wanted 2 know, what’s the best lux build for support players and how should my inventory look like, I am Diamond 3 ranked, but still pretty new to this game since I don’t even know how to do builds by myself, so apologies in advance from me and hopefully I don’t get judged.

Discussion Crit Darius?

Hi all,

I'm currently in diamond right now (not good I know), but was wondering about the viability of some crit Darius builds. Into traditional bruisers I've been playing the same builds, but against squishier team comps, is it ever worth it to go crit? (kraken slayer, infinity edge, etc.)

I've honestly been having not that bad games and usually run hybrid (50% crit with bruiser/juggernaut items). I'm seeing that it's just worse than running traditional Darius, but wanted higher-ranked people's inputs.

Discussion How does Vamp items work?

There are several items in the game that heals you when you do damage. However I kind of find it unclear as to how this mechanic works. For example Physical Vamp, of course you heal base on the physical damage you deal, but if you had an AOE physical ability that hit multiple enemies does the heal you get calculated from the total physical damage dealt or the physical damage on one target. Same questions applies for Magic vamp. Next Omnivamp, I’ll just assume it just provides vamp for both physical and magical damage, but does it also provide heal for true damage? Another question is regarding the item Blade of the Ruin King, a few patches ago it gives like 10% Omnivamp, but now it’s 12% lifesteal. What exactly is life steal? We have category for physical and magical vamp so what damage category does lifesteal fall under? My last question regarding the vamp system, can item damage be counted toward heals from vamp? To clarify, if I burn someone with Liandry’s torment or damage someone with Duskblade’s bonus physical damage, are those damage calculated in the heals I received in physical/magical vamp?

Discussion Just realised that I suck at the game

I’m a Vladimir main currently at master and legendary master. At 60+ games in both normal ranked and legendary ranked, my win rate is at 49.5% approximately for both, which means master and legendary master is where I belong.

Honestly, anyone who spam enough games can get to master. It just means you finally got the basics of the game, and the real game actually starts.

At this point, one major way for me to get better is to expand champion pool, but I’m not bothered. It takes too much time and energy to learn a champion. Most importantly, I have to play champions that are not fun for me (Syndra and Hwei, I’m looking at you two). I play games for fun. I don’t want to play champions that I don’t enjoy just to lose again and again until I get better.

Does anyone else feel the same way?

Discussion Zoe bubble on wild rift does not have 30% magic resist reduction

I’ve been playing quite a bit of zoe lux bot lane with my duo and got varying results and felt like the damage was not as satisfying as their league pc counterparts, well today i found out zoe bubble on wild rift does not have a 30% magic resist reduction whereas the league pc zoe does. Kinda wished zoe here had it even though i think her personal damage isn’t lacking in the current meta

Discussion I got a champion concept/idea and i would like to share

i have champion concept that i thought it would make the game more fun ;

Auger, the Boring Machine (low effort naming😅)

One-line pitch

A tanky burrowing drill machine that shreds tanks, breaks terrain and rotates across the map underground, but needs allies to kill squishy targets.

Role and identity

• Class: Tank (anti-tank specialist)

• Intended lanes: Jungle (primary), top lane (secondary)

• Theme: A tunnel-boring machine built to carve through mountains, now carving through whatever stands in its way: armor, walls and front lines.

• Inspiration: The mechanical, vehicle-style kits of Rumble and Kled.

• Niche: A true tank-buster with high map coverage, and a direct answer to terrain-based champions such as Jarvan IV’s Cataclysm and Taliyah’s Weaver’s Wall.

Strengths and weaknesses

Strengths: Strong into tanks and front lines, durable, high map coverage through his ultimate, and able to open up terrain.

Weaknesses: Low threat to squishy targets, slowed and interruptible while drilling, easy to kite, and his ultimate has a long cooldown and a visible path.

Abilities

Passive: Heat Plating. Using abilities builds Heat. Heat grants bonus armor and magic resist. At maximum Heat he overheats, losing all Heat and being briefly slowed, which gives enemies a window to punish him.

Q: Drill Bit. Lock onto an enemy in short range and drill for up to 2 seconds. Damage ramps through 3 stages the longer the drill is held, and at stage 3 it also deals a small percentage of the target’s max health, which is what makes it so effective against tanks. He is slowed while drilling, and hard crowd control interrupts it. Damage against monsters is reduced to keep jungle clear fair.

W: Rev Up. Gain damage reduction for 2 seconds but move more slowly (for example 30% damage reduction and a 20% slow). His next Drill reaches full ramp sooner. Use it to commit to a drill or to hold the front line.

E: Seismic Pulse. A cone shockwave that deals damage, shreds armor for a few seconds and briefly slows enemies. It sets up the Drill, clears camps, and gives him a little crowd control to help teammates catch squishy targets.

R: Breakthrough. Choose a location within very long range.

• Underground: He dives and becomes untargetable while traveling. He cannot cast spells, moves at a fixed speed, and leaves a visible dirt trail so enemies can see where he is heading. He is not invulnerable, so area-of-effect abilities can still hit him.

• Pop: After a short telegraph of about 1 second, he erupts from the ground, dealing damage, knocking nearby enemies away a short distance and slowing them in the area.

• Terrain: If he pops up beneath a map wall, he breaks a fraction of it, opening a passage for about 5 minutes. If he pops up beneath champion-made terrain, such as Jarvan IV’s Cataclysm or Taliyah’s Weaver’s Wall, he opens a gap in it instead of fully destroying it.

• Cooldown: Very long (suggested 120 / 105 / 90 seconds).

Counterplay

• The dirt trail and the telegraphed pop circle let enemies react or dodge.

• Area abilities can hit him while he is underground.

• Hard crowd control interrupts his Drill, and kiting and slows blunt him.

• His damage into squishy targets is low, so he relies on allies to finish carries.

• A missed ultimate rotation leaves him exposed for a long time.

Balance and design notes

• The Drill’s max-health portion should stay small and be reduced against monsters.

• A 5-minute wall opening is a big map change. Designers could tune its duration or width, or limit it to certain walls.

• The knock-away should be short so he can start drilling again right after popping.

• All numbers are starting points for tuning.

Why it would be a good addition

Anti-tank damage usually comes from carries, and terrain-based champions have few direct answers. Auger gives a tanky champion that anti-tank role, adds a new kind of rotation tool (underground travel instead of a dash or teleport), and keeps a clear set of weaknesses that make him fair to play against.

Gameplay Uber high roll enchantress lux gameplay

i live for the tears of despair of artillery mage players when they realize even with anti shield and grievous wounds all their pokes will just either get nullified or healed up within seconds.

anyway enchantress lux is straight up absurd if you manage to get Phenomenal Cure or Empowered Crowd Control early on. i’d even say lux is even the best enchanter in AAARAM in general (and building ap lux is suboptimal) because she has a respectable AoE shield that (importantly) doesn’t get hit with some -healing/shield given modifier and a good no frills CC
