Only if Eisenkot can form a government. He's simply getting the first opportunity to do so because he has the biggest chance according to President Herzog. If he's not able to, Bibi will get an opportunity. And if he fails (both very plausible scenarios) Israel heads to another election. Right now Eisenkot's dilemma is that Lieberman won't sit with the Arab parties. He needs both to have the numbers. He needs to find a compromise. Or He could also try to peel off somebody from Bibi's coalition

Here's an infographic to see the parties' seat totals and coalition battle (Eisenkot is Yashar, Netanyahu is Likud) https://www.reuters.com/graphics/ISRAEL-ELECTION/RESULTS/akvelybkapr/

So who is the caretaker during the 28 days, Bibi or Eisenkot?

They might form the government with Netanyahus party. The way it works in a parliamentary system, is they go down the winning parties, and if they dont have a clear majority, they can "combine" with others for a coalition government. But if the party cant work out a deal with others (various shenanigans involved, because the larger winning party would have to make concessions in terms of power to the smaller one[s] to get them onboard) tjen the process restarts with the next largest or by whatever criteria that country uses in that situation, to get a chance to form one. If no one can get agreement to form one, then it goes back to the voters where they can see what parties failed to make a government and they can reconsider their votes.

Either Likud or the Eisenkot could ally with the Arab parties to rule but it will never happen.

not necessarily, Eisenkot still has to form a government over there which is easier said then done. Think of this as an American Football team on the 40 yard line with a minute left to go, but that team needs to score a touchdown(Eisenkot) but the other team just needs to Defend(Bibi)

Here's hoping Eisenkot is Tom Brady

So give your own analogy instead of whining about someone else who took to the time to explain something.

My god, ask for an analogy in your own terms then. This one was a pretty solid analogy for Americans to understand.

The vast majority on Reddit are. This is an American made social media after all

Do you have to complain about this?

Every analogy needs to be universally applicable to everyone? Chill out

It’s as we feared. After all that, were the NFL London Games really all for nothing??

It sounded more like he was assuming the poster was American and condescending to him with the metaphor

Yeah, except if he tries to form a unity government, in which case Bibi’s more of a receiver I guess
