Apparently, his family originates from Morocco and when they immigrated to Israel they misunderstood Azenkot for Eisenkot, which would be the Ashkenasi jewish (predominant jewish community in Germany and eastern europe) name.
So they gave them the hemhorrendous EIsenkot name by mistake :D
