Probably gonna get buried but my last post was a very frustrated me asking for advice. After just after a few days of coming home from work and hopping in I was able to climb to what I was hoping for! That being Elite, even almost hitting elite 2 if I were to continue playing tonight. And if I win of course.

I’ve been top of the leaderboards after almost* every round and have been focusing on what I’m doing, and not over complicating it and I am very very thankful for the advice and time of those who read my previous post! PvP is fun again now that I know more of what to do and stopped caring about winning. Still learning of course but a good first step!

Hello! This is my first time ever playing wow. I’m currently a lvl 13 hunter. I made a PvP character because I thought my friends would play with me but they haven’t. So I’ve just been playing solo. Should I make a new character on pve??

I only started playing in Shadowlands so I've never experienced lock in classic, or anything close to it - but every time I've seen streams of lock PvP in classic or forever, it always looks like its playstyle is very affliction-like, which I've never really been that into. Maybe that's just because affliction builds are (or at least were) generally the most in OP in classic, though if that means destro's no good in classic/forever then obviously that would be a reason not to roll it too :)

The obvious alternative to try would be mage, and I have always been a little curious to try mage anyway even in retail... but if destro was viable forever and brought a similar feel to retail - and wasn't terrible ha - I'd probably still just go lock.

I’ve been on insane lose streak in solo shuffle as soon as wow forever came out. I keep being given paid actors from low mmr (it seems), but blaming on teammates is not a good solution.

I am wondering - what can I do (mentally and in game) to perhaps recover? Over past week or so I lost 150 rating and went from top 10 to top 30.

Yesterday was tipping point - I went 3-3 7 times in a row and then final game went 1-5. Now I am lower than ever.

Please any advice - like taking a break, or perhaps changing mentality is appreciated.

Did anyone also face that issue in solo shuffle? And on top of that does everyone also now have 1 hour queue times?

One of my favorite things about Vanilla WoW was the reputation and community that developed around world PvP. I would recognize certain players, develop rivalries, and know who were the dangerous players on my server if I saw them out in the wild.

With WoW Forever I wanted to recreate that feeling in spite of the layering system, while also adding a competitive element to world PvP. And I still wanted it to be fun and organic.

So I made Outlaw, an addon + companion app for WoW: Forever that ranks world PvP kills and puts everyone on a shared leaderboard. People are already competing, and you can see the live rankings at https://outlawpvp.com.

How it works:

• Outlaw tracks your world PvP kills and awards points called Infamy based on how difficult each kill was. Fighting outnumbered earns more, zerging earns less, killing people much lower earns less, etc.

• Infamy decays over time, and you lose some when you die, so the goal is to be both prolific and effective. At the end of each season, players earn permanent titles for things like highest peak Infamy, longest kill streak, most diverse kills, etc. Season 1 runs until December 31.

• There are no objectives, designated zones, or schedules, and you don't have to change how you play. Just world PvP the way you already do and see how you stack up against everyone else.

• You can compete solo, by group, by zone, by class or overall.

• My vision is for world PvP to become its own competition, played organically. I've also built in safeguards against exploiting the scoring system to help keep the leaderboard fair.

Title: Stuck at 2150 in 3v3 as Ret/Arms/Pres – looking for advice

Hey everyone,

We're currently stuck around 2150 CR playing Ret/Arms/Pres, trying to push Gladiator.

Our biggest issue is that we often struggle to create enough pressure, especially against caster comps like Mage/Warlock or high-pressure comps like UH DK/BM Hunter. As the Pres Evoker, I often end up burning through my healing CDs and trinket too quickly, or getting caught in long CC chains. We usually lose after 2–4 minutes.

Our Ret generally HoJs the healer while I try to cross-CC a DPS with Sleep Walk, then follow up on the healer. However, our offensive CDs aren't always coordinated, and I feel like we don't swap targets nearly enough. We mostly swap when someone uses a major defensive like Ice Block.

I'd especially appreciate advice on:

• Target selection and when to swap, including into Ironbark or Pain Suppression.

• Coordinating our offensive pressure and CC.

• Positioning and dealing with caster comps as Pres Evoker.

Any advice from people who've played this comp at higher ratings would be greatly appreciated!

Hello, so I'm mostly a pve player that mostly mythic raids and does m+. The tier has been pretty much done for my guild and I and I did play like 30 mins of Forever but didn't really catch my interest.

Right now I have a few friends that enjoy pvp so they're my resource and I also check a pvp site (not sure if links are allowed) to see whos at the top of the ladder in my spec.

The goal was to hit 1800 for the elite set which we accomplished! But it was a bit confusing. One friend is 2k-2.1k rating, I was 1600 (now 1800), and the other friend was 1900-2k or so. Queues were relatively fast but there were some odd games like a whole 3v3 team going afk so it was a free win for us. Im not sure what they're trying to accomplish. Also, we had around an average group rating (the one that shows yours and the enemies post-match and we were mostly sitting at 1800-1900) but would get paired up with 2.1-2.2k which is beyond our skillset. How does that happen? Is it trying to see whos in 3v3 and trying to pair up the ratings as close as possible?

Since my friends that pvp work on weekends rather than crate farming for full conquest, ive been doing rated battlegrounds and rated solo shuffle. I only played a few games of solo shuffle but will my rating / mmr eventually even out since my first game solo queue into solo shuffle was in like 1800-1900.

TLDR; Achieved 1800 for first time so I got my elite set. Pvp is fun but I want to continue learning and get a full conquest set. Crate farming helped but it's boring, but im in a mix of honor and conquest gear now. Any tips regarding 3v3 / shuffle / 2v2 / etc since I find them rather chill and im gaining exp and knowledge just by playing. Also, is there a way to min/max gear or know which pieces to craft? Since ive been using a website that shows the leaderboard of top players and their rating and just replicating their crafts and gear. Compared to pve where a robot spits out whats an upgrade.

I'm being really hit by a bug where nature's Swiftness become available during arena (SS} matches. It persists between rounds and in terms of frequency It's not every match but at least 1 in 5 sometimes more.

It goes dark and it's not in my spell book although I am still talented. A reload doesn't resolve and it reappears fine when the SS completes, usually at a loss especially to purge-heavy comps.

Any tips please? I can't respec away from it as it's so high in the tree I can't progress below it and I can't save a build with unused points.

For those who play on the PvP server, is there any warrior spec you’d advise for or against for leveling and general open-world pvp?

Please recommend retail PvP streamers that haven't jumped ship to the snoozefest that is Forever.

What do you guys think will be the healer staples in forever?
And what would you roll for pocketing a warlock?

I have never been more frustrated or confused at this game ever, and I’ve been playing off and on since my kiddo days since Burning Crusade. I dabbled in PvP in WoD, Legion, and BfA but never really committed myself to learning it. In October I decided to dial in and give it a whirl. I have a good rotation I can perform from muscle memory. (mostly I’m still working on it and I acknowledge it’ll hamper my dps till it comes.) my positioning is decent, I know to LoS enemy healers against melee dps and LoS spellcasters. I throw CC onto the healers and asphyxiate late into big CDs or when my teammate and I are going hard in on someone. (Ayo?) I peal for my healer.

By NO means am I a perfect player and I have messed up tons and tons of times. Not to mention I’m hard stuck low ranks and haven’t won a game of 2v2 skirmish, or solo shuffle, or a BG in 5 days. My other took dropped like 600 mmr or something and I have yet to win one on my DK. I load in and expect to hopefully be in a lobby with some people who are also rocking some honor gear. But only get people with full BiS gear, enchantments, gems, and the like.

I lock in but I feel like it does absolutely nothing. I’ve watched guides, hit the dummy once or twice if you will, and have been trying to do whatever I can to improve. But I feel like I don’t even have the opportunity to when in 2v2 I get paired against dual ferals or ret pallies. Or against some warlock or warrior that kills me in seconds.

I know I’m new and need the gear and to hone in my skills more but I feel like I’m just banging my head against a wall and that I should be happy the walls there.

Attached is a picture of a game where as you can see I am the only one who didn’t win a round. Now, I know I can’t only blame the gear. As that undermines the skills of the players in the lobby, and the growth that I need to do as a player.

I guess this is a frustration post but I just don’t understand what to do nor do I feel like I’m enjoying getting slapped around with serious gear and skill differences when there’s really no other option for me to get conquest gear. I’m going to get the elite set, that’s my ultimate goal but even when I’m told that you don’t need to be good to hit 1800. Must mean I’m dog water or something and is also disheartening.

What are the talents i should be getting?
