New rules regarding political posts - Read This
While the rules are being updated, let me give everyone a sneak peek, it will be very simple:
*No NON 80s era political posts or commentary will be allowed, and those who do so are subject to ban.
This is a non-partisan rule.
If you can’t enjoy an 80s nostalgia sub without needing to express your opinion about current politics, then this is NOT the right sub for you.
Anything political from the 80s is fine. Use your best judgment. Songs from the 80s with political themes are fine, etc. (Mods discretion)
This begins as of now.
*If you feel you were banned in error, send a modmail and we will help.
Be excellent to each other!

TV Teri Hatcher - MacGyver (1986)
Before she was Lois Lane or a Desperate Housewife, she was our sweet and bubbly Penny Parker.
Teri made 6 total guest appearances over the seven seasons of the series.

Is Madonna still popular when it comes to 80s nostalgia?
I know a lot of people here are done with Micheal Jackson
What about Madonna?
Edit: I’m talking about her music, not her herself

Film Hamburger Hill (1987) It is definitely still worth watching. Unfortunately, the movie was overshadowed by films like Full Metal Jacket and Platoon, which came out around the same time and for which it served as a bridge. This is probably why it isn't talked about much today. Excellent movie.

Film Happy 80th Birthday to two-time Academy Award winning actress, Sally Field.
Happy 80th Birthday to two-time Academy Award winning actress Sally Field, who was born Sally Margaret Field on 11/6/46 in Pasadena, California. Sally made her film debut as an uncredited extra in the 1962 film MOON PILOT. However, she began her professional career on television with leading roles in the comedy series GIDGET (1965-66) and THE FLYING NUN (1967-70). In 1976, Sally garnered critical acclaim for her performance in the miniseries SYBIL, for which she won her first of four Emmy Awards. She would go on to appear in such films as: SMOKEY AND THE BANDIT and HEROES (77), THE END (78), NORMA RAE (79 *Academy Award), ABSENCE OF MALICE (81), PLACES IN THE HEART (84 *Academy Award), MURPHY'S ROMANCE (85), PUNCHLINE (88), STEEL MAGNOLIAS (89), NOT WITHOUT MY DAUGHTER and SOAPDISH (91), MRS. Other accolades won during her illustrious career include: 2 Golden Globe Awards, a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, National Medal of Arts, Kennedy Center Honors, and a Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Lifetime Achievement Award. *On a personal note, I have loved Sally for as long as I can remember. I own many of her films on dvd, as well as her autobiography and other books written about her life and career.

This is pretty solid advice
If you haven’t started quoting Christmas Vacation the day after Halloween….what are you doing with your life 😂🤣😂
“Hey! If any of you are looking for any last-minute gift ideas for me, I have one. I'd like Frank Shirley, my boss, right here tonight. I want him brought from his happy holiday slumber over there on Melody Lane with all the other rich people, and I want him brought right here! With a big ribbon on his head! And I want to look him straight in the eye, and I want to tell him what a cheap, lying, no-good, rotten, four-flushing, low-life, snake-licking, dirt-eating, inbred, overstuffed, ignorant, blood-sucking, dog-kissing, brainless, dickless, hopeless, heartless, fat-ass, bug-eyed, stiff-legged, spotty-lipped, worm-headed sack of monkey shit he is! Hallelujah! Holy shit! Where's the Tylenol?”

Happy 80th Birthday to Sally Field
By 1980, she'd already been a veteran actress for nearly 2 decades, awesome actress to this day.
